Thrilled to share that our Cosway Street project in Marylebone has been selected as a 2025 Civic Trust Regional Finalist. The sculptural building repairs a degraded streetscape and creates a contextual yet modern addition within the Lisson Grove conservation area. We responded to the neighbourhood's predominantly late Victorian and Georgian architecture with a design that ripples with visual interest and reflects the rhythms and proportions of the neighboring streets. The aspiration for the project is to create a building that will last for generations and become a piece of future heritage. Launching MAYDE by Kadans in London 🚀 🏙️Located in King’s Cross, London, MAYDE is the most recent high-specification office and laboratory building to join the world-famous Knowledge Quarter. This new laboratory scheme of 114,000 sq ft includes high-quality good-manufacturing-practices (GMP) pilot plant facilities.🏢 🚩What makes MAYDE unique is that it is the only space in London offering GMP manufacturing facilities alongside R&D and office space. This includes one floor of fully fitted lab and office space ready to occupy immediately. Generix stone cladding was used on the taller of the two buildings in the Gateway House development in Finchley to create a striking contrast with the #brick used on the existing streetscape, whilst suiting the context of the conservation area in which it is located. The two colours of limestone #cladding were able to offer the elegant finish of a natural stone #facade and could be installed in a fraction of the time. Taylor Maxwell worked with sub-contractors Southern Maze Ltd to supply Generix stone cladding to this project, which was managed by FORMATION DESIGN & BUILD LIMITED and designed by David Miller Architects.
