🚀 The future of UK defence innovation is here! Following yesterday's announcement of UK Defence Innovation (UKDI) with a £400m budget, we're excited about what this means for the UK’s defence technology landscape. UKDI will integrate all MOD innovation organisations, including DASA, into one coherent system. This development preserves DASA's established role while creating a more streamlined approach. We'll continue working closely with our industry and academic partners to identify and develop breakthrough technologies, building on our successful track record. Yesterday, representatives from DASA, jHub Defence and Commercial X met The Rt Hon Rachel Reeves, Chancellor of the Exchequer, at Wellington Barracks following her Spring Statement in the House of Commons. Ms Reeves, along with Rt Hon John Healey (Secretary of State for Defence) and Admiral Sir Tony Radakin (Chief of Defence Staff) was given a hands on demonstration of DASA funded technology from QUICKBLOCK®, Advai and Flare Bright Ltd. The event was an excellent opportunity to showcase DASA and defence innovation under the watchful eye of our own Chief of Staff Nick Barsby RPP MAPM FIKE. Thanks to all involved for making a huge success of such a high profile event!

We had an excellent time at Innovation2025 with many inspiring conversations with government leaders from across the globe. Notably, Anita Friend, Deputy Director and Head of DASA had a productive and insightful meeting with Valeriya Ionan, Deputy Minister for Eurointegration at the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ukraine, discussing the prospect of building stronger bonds between UK and Ukrainian innovation communities. #innovation2025 #DASAImpact
