Today, we hosted a Halloween Bake Off for CRASH - Construction Industry's Charity at our London office! 🎃 Staff were encouraged to bake something spooky at home and bring it into the office for Halloween. 👩🍳 For a donation to CRASH, everyone could taste and vote for their favourite entries. 🍰 We had a fantastic turnout, and raised over £100 for CRASH! 🎉 Congratulations to our winner Simon for his brilliant “Spooky Spider” Tart, and to our runner-up, Maureen, for her delicious Chocolate Orange Cake! 🏆 A big well done and thank you to all who got involved! #HalloweenBakeOff #CharityEvent #CRASH Keegans

ECD Website Update: Montgomerie Park Primary School is now on the ECD website. We worked on this project as Passivhaus Consultants as part of jmarchitects’ design team. As such, we provided analysis and advice on key design decisions, from high level considerations of building form, glazing ratios and solar shading, to the more intricate design detailing. Every aspect of the building fabric was analysed and input into our PHPP modelling which was used both to guide design as well as for final submission to the Passivhaus Certifier. Designed to Passivhaus standards, Montgomerie Park School will provide the highest levels of thermal comfort and healthy indoor air conditions – the ideal environment for children to learn and to concentrate. As North Ayrshire Council’s first Passivhaus school, the building itself will provide education and inspiration to staff and pupils alike, demonstrating the way forward for our built environment. The building fabric has been super-insulated and the school features energy saving and energy generating technologies, including MVHR systems, solar PV panels and air source heat pumps. The project was procured through hub South West Scotland framework on behalf of North Ayrshire Council and is being partially funded as part of the Scottish Government’s £2bn Learning Real Estate Investment Programme (LEIP).
