Connecting the environmental, ESG and professional services community, and providing the intelligence to deliver a sustainable transition
The world must act faster to protect 30% of the planet by 2030, is the headline from a report published yesterday by UNEP-WCMC and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) at #COP16. Environmental and #sustainability #consultants working in the field have a vital role to play in accelerating progress. The report notes that currently there is insufficient data to fully measure and understand the effectiveness of protected and conserved areas. Less than 5% of the world’s land is covered by protected areas where management effectiveness has been assessed. The figure is 1.3% for #oceans.
