This morning, we spoke with Llyr Ap Dafydd and Sara Mitchell from Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government about the importance of using Welsh place names as part of #Cymraeg2050 in our digital communications. Our key takeaway? Just go for it! 🙌 📍 If the Welsh and English names are similar, use the Welsh one. If they’re different, include both (with English in brackets). ⛰️ Well-known Welsh names like Yr Wyddfa should always be used. For less familiar names, include both to inform your audience. While many were gearing up for Christmas, in December, we joined forces with Climate Action Wales to spotlight the issue of overconsumption during the festive season. From the rise in (plastic!) decorations to buying new and increasing amounts of food waste, we wanted to inspire a greener approach.. Here’s how we did it: 💡 We teamed up with seven micro-influencers — each with highly engaged audiences — to create content that: ✅ Encourages sustainable habits ✅ Highlights the importance of second-hand shopping (and donating gifts *before* Christmas, not just after a winter clear out!) ✅ Helps reduce waste and promotes a circular economy From fashion and tech enthusiasts to family-focused and gardening creators, we helped spread the message across Wales that it’s possible to celebrate Christmas sustainably. ✨ The results? Over 50k video views and a reach of over 200k 😎 We’re excited for more collaborations soon! Talk about a U-turn 😲 Mark Zuckerberg says #Meta will ‘dramatically reduce censorship’ across Facebook, Instagram and Threads — going as far as citing #X (for its community notes) as a source of inspiration. This is surprising considering many high-profile brands/individuals left X in 2024 in favour of #Threads, which has previously been positioned as a more positive alternative to the platform which de-emphasises politics. It'll be fascinating to see how this plays out...

2024 - we fully stepped into the limelight and have some huge achievements to show for it👇 ⭐️Growing our team - welcoming Maisie Wallace as Senior Account Manager ⭐️Gaining 7 new clients and securing contract extensions - shoutout to WWF Cymru, Net Zero Industry Wales, ScoutsCymru and the Comisiwn Seilwaith Cenedlaethol Cymru / National Infrastructure Commission for Wales (just to name a few) ⭐️We celebrated one year in our boujee new office space at Tramshed Tech where we've hosted a range of events already including In the Limelight at its iconic Swansea hub ⭐️We've gone viral at least 5 times on socials for our clients STAEDTLER UK, Cyngor Gwynedd, Awdurdod Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri // Eryri National Park Authority and of course through our own TikTok (IYKYK) ⭐️Celebrated lots of client achievements including a top secret re-brand (more info to come soon👀), 311 pieces of coverage for 8 clients, delivering client events including Net Zero Industry Wales' EmpowerCyrmu and so much more. And of course, we wouldn't be Eq if we didn't do this with a glass of wine in hand (we really did our socials proud this year)🥂 We'll be signing off on Tuesday 24th December and will be back in action on Thursday 2nd January doing what we do best - delivering impactful comms for our clients.
