About us
Eric Parry Architects & its Singapore Studio is an established and award-winning practice with a portfolio of notable work. The practice has gathered together talented individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and a wide range of experience - as a result EPA operates easily within any frame of reference, whether the Far East or continental Europe. The practice is responsible for several highly prestigious commercial projects in the City and West End including 5 Aldermanbury Square, 60 Threadneedle Street, 23 Savile Row and 50 New Bond Street. We are also responsible for cultural projects involving sensitive historic buildings including a significant new wing for the Holburne Museum of Art in Bath, and have completed the restoration and renewal project for the historic St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in Trafalgar Square. In addition to architectural and urban design, we have an excellent portfolio of interior design projects, including residential interiors and office fit outs. We continue to be involved in other types of design, including bespoke furniture, ironmongery, carpets and textiles. We have also worked on successful landscape projects varied in scale and complexity.

We welcomed Robert Tavernor to our studio for an enlightening seminar titled 'Reimagining antiquity through architectural design', detailing how what is beneath has informed the city we know today. This lecture considers two urban blocks in the City that achieve new and revived continuity of space, form and meaning with the past: the former Bucklersbury House on Victoria Street built on the site of the Roman Temple of Mithras and now occupied by Bloomberg’s European HQ; and the Hall Island site on Fenchurch Street that incorporates the former Clothworkers’ Hall, alongside the historic tower of All Hallows Staining and Lambe’s Chapel Crypt, a site currently being redeveloped according to designs by Eric Parry Architects. Ahead of International Women's Day, Associate Emily Posey wrote a piece for Architects’ Journal highlighting the importance of mentoring in the industry. Under Emily's leadership, our mentoring programme seeks to encourage and enable a wide reach of participants within the practice. Last week we celebrated the topping out of One Liverpool Street. A great milestone in an exciting project. The building bridges over the world's oldest underground railway, the Metropolitan Line, adding an extra 45 metres of tunnel to the network while the basements carefully tiptoe around the existing Elizabeth Line ventilation shaft. The façade, realised in collaboration with façade contractor Josef Gartner GmbH, is made from aluminium elements cast at the foundry of AATi Limited. Working alongside the contractor Mace, and enabling works contractor John F Hunt Group, the scheme will provide BREEAM Outstanding Grade A office space, outdoor amenity and retail, for the developer Aviva Investors

Last week we were pleased to welcome Robert Kennett, Robert Dawson, Sven Heimann and Brendan Durkin of Eric Parry Architects for our latest Architecture Talk. EPA gave the TTC team an insightful presentation with the theme of ‘Up & Down, and a little sideways’, which showcased case studies of their work including Grade I listed St Martin in the Fields, Chelsea Barracks, The Leatherseller’s Company and 1 Undershaft, the tallest building planned for the City of London. We were particularly interested to hear about their creative use of colour and contextual response to sites which results in high variance in the work of the studio, giving each project a strong sense of place and uniqueness. Thank you to Robert and his colleagues for taking the time to talk to us – we look forward to working with the Eric Parry Architects team again soon!
