MEMBRANES 💧: ZwitterCo has secured US$58.4 million in an oversubscribed Series B funding round led by Evok Innovations. The membrane technology company will use the funds to strategically invest in international expansion and the rapid advancement of its technology platform. “Climate change is simultaneously driving water scarcity and increasing demand for water in industries critical to the low-carbon transition,” said Alex Rappaport, ZwitterCo co-founder and CEO. “This funding will allow us to rapidly scale our breakthrough membrane technology, empowering industries to reliably and affordably access unconventional water resources while ensuring the water used or recycled in these industries meets the highest purity standards.” “The full spectrum of the energy transition – from power and next-gen fuels to mining and critical minerals – relies on clean water,” said Naynika Chaubey, partner at Evok Innovations. “The increasing unreliability of global water sources could put many of our energy systems at risk. ZwitterCo’s breakthrough technology is critical and timely, making this investment a cornerstone of Evok’s portfolio.” Evok was joined in the funding round by DCVC, BHP, Munich Re Ventures, Siteground, HG Ventures, and Blue Horizon Advisors. 👉 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eEZUcsUH #membranes #membranetechnology #funding #seriesbfunding #climatechange #lowcarbontransition #waterresources #waterscarcity #waterrecycling

CARBON CAPTURE 🌎: ESG Clean Energy says that ongoing testing results at its gas-powered power generation plant facility in Holyoke, Massachusetts, USA indicate the company’s patented water removal technology enables at least twice as much carbon to be captured per pound of adsorbent. "These results represent another significant milestone in the development and commercialization of our clean energy system,” said Nick Scuderi, president of ESG Clean Energy. “We were confident we would see these numbers, but it is nice to have them validated with data from an operational unit and finally see the proof in our design.” ESG Clean Energy’s patented water removal system consists of an advanced ceramic membrane incorporated into a unique mechanical cooling system. It is designed to be used on large and small systems and can be retrofitted onto current operating power plants. 👉 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eMMt8Hg5 #energy #carboncapture #cleanenergy #powergeneration #powerplants #membranes #ceramicmembranes #waterremovalsystem

BREWING 🍺: Atlas Copco has introduced a new solution for the beer bottling process – the Beer Foam Separator (BFS 900). Built to be used in combination with its industry 4.0 ready GHS VSD+ screw vacuum pump, the addition of the beer foam separator is primed to improve energy efficiency, reduce lifecycle costs and lower the rejection rate of over and underfilled bottles. The beer foam separator was designed and developed in partnership with brewery customers and in direct response to the excess foam production that hampered the beer filling process. "Addressing process concerns for the beer industry effectivity with our innovative capabilities and application expertise is a focus point for us," said Alessandro Villa, Applications Manager, Atlas Copco. "That’s why we spent a lot of time perfecting this particular component for the beer industry because we wanted to design a system that would not only protect the pump but would offer a higher level of energy-efficiency and savings for our customers." 👉 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eAw2VmDQ #separator #beerfoam #beerfoamseparator beerfoamseparation #beerindustry #brewing #beerbottling
