FORMATION DESIGN & BUILD LIMITED are pleased to announce that we are in the final stages of the second phase of the Wickford Street project for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We have completed all the flats, including decorations, joinery, and flooring, with our thorough snagging process currently underway. The common areas are having flooring laid, with final decoration to follow. The development includes two commercial spaces, for which LBTH has secured internal tenants. They recently visited the site and are extremely excited about moving into their new facilities. Testing and commissioning have begun, and it is encouraging to have permanent power, heating, and lighting now available in the building. The site's proximity to a major Network Rail asset has made the construction process challenging. However, our close collaboration with NWR and Formation’s adaptability in meeting their requirements has ensured the successful delivery of the scheme in harmony with our neighbours and stakeholders. We expect to hand over the building a few weeks ahead of schedule, allowing additional time to complete the BSR process for this 18.5-meter-high building. FORMATION DESIGN & BUILD LIMITED getting closer to the finish line of the Palliser Road project in Hammersmith & Fulham. It's thrilling to watch everything fall into place. We're currently in the final stages of snagging with our client, Southern Housing, making sure every little detail is just right. All the M&E commissioning is in progress, so the building's systems are getting their final tweaks. The scaffold has now been taken down completely, showing off the building's true look, and we’re finishing up the external works to tie everything together. We’re also in the middle of finalizing and sending over all the paperwork to Southern Housing as we get ready for the anticipated handover in April. We were delighted to attend the Newham College of Further Education Apprenticeship Event at Solar House in Stratford. The event aimed to raise awareness of apprenticeship opportunities for employers, and we were proud to share our own experience.   Since September 2023, we have partnered with Newham College of Further Education to support apprenticeships, placing four Civil Engineering Apprentices at the Stratford campus. It was great to reconnect with Dr Vijay Srikandarajah FHEA, our students' tutor and lecturer, and hear about their impressive progress. Vijay highlighted one standout apprentice who is advancing so rapidly that he will be fast-tracked to qualification this year—a testament to the success of the programme.   A special mention to Romario Christian , whose dedication and growth have earned him an invitation to the House of Lords next month, where he will share his positive experience with us. We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with our client, Haringey Council, who will be joining us in recognition of his achievements. We look forward to supporting Romario as he continues his journey toward qualification.   At the event, our Social Value Officer, Anita Louise Collopy , emphasized the importance of educating parents on the benefits of apprenticeships. She highlighted how they provide a debt-free route to a degree, real-world experience, financial independence, and confidence—offering young people a strong foundation for their careers. This sparked meaningful discussions, with many attendees engaging with Anita after the event to explore this topic further.   We are proud to support apprenticeship pathways and look forward to seeing more success stories unfold. 🌟 Apprenticeship Week Celebration! 🌟 Today, we’re excited to highlight and celebrate our newest recruit, Frankie Legge, who embarked on his electrical apprenticeship journey in September 2024. While we initially faced challenges with Frankie’s preferred college due to delays in his placement, we didn’t give up. After working hard to find a solution, we were thrilled to secure Frankie a spot at Carshalton College, despite the longer commute. Frankie is incredibly grateful for the support he’s received so far. Though the journey to college is a bit of a stretch, he feels it’s worth it, and we’re so proud of his determination. Big thanks to Andre P. for his unwavering support in helping us secure Frankie’s place at Carshalton College. Frankie started his studies there in January 2025, and the college has been great in ensuring students catch up on missed studies during the Easter break. Frankie has connected well with his new tutor and classmates, who are all supportive and working together as a strong team. It’s inspiring to see how far he’s come, and we’re excited to watch his progress. A special thank you also to Olek @Capital Electrical Contractors for providing Frankie with a fantastic mentor. Frankie has expressed that his mentor does a great job ensuring he learns, builds confidence, and encourages him to work independently. We’re proud to support Frankie on this exciting new path and can’t wait to see what the future holds for him! Looking ahead, Anita Louise Collopy will be working closely with Carshalton College this year, encouraging more students to pursue apprenticeships across various trades and helping to educate parents about these invaluable career pathways. This initiative is close to Anita’s heart, and she’s passionate about creating more opportunities for students in this space. FORMATION DESIGN & BUILD LIMITED are proud to collaborate with Haringey Council on the Cranwood development, a key part of their ambitious home-building programme. This project plays a vital role in tackling the acute shortage of affordable housing in the area and contributes to the Council’s commitment to delivering 3,000 new homes over the next decade—maximizing the use of council-owned land to meet local housing needs. The Cranwood Project, a former care home, will be transformed to provide 41 high-quality homes, 32 of which will be available at affordable council rent, helping to support families and individuals on Haringey’s waiting list.
