Our incredible volunteers are the backbone of GoodWork, helping us support many more young people than we could otherwise. Over the past few weeks, we've been working with some of our superstar returning volunteers, who've been supporting us to interview candidates for our new mentoring programme. All of these volunteers have been involved with our work for many months, giving their time to support our mission. We're so grateful that they keep coming back for more (or haven't yet blocked our emails - who knows?!). So a huge thank you to... ⭐ Taz Rasul ⭐ George Kalathil ⭐ Cathy Burns ⭐ Lori Bavetta ⭐ Heather Butler ⭐ Tom Lawrance ⭐ Ali Flower Please join us in sending some appreciation their way 👏 If you'd like to volunteer with GoodWork, make sure you're signed up to our volunteer mailing list here: https://lnkd.in/eynFc5cm
GoodWork
Non-profit Organizations
Reimagining early careers, so that every young person has the opportunity to succeed.
About us
GoodWork is a non-profit, working with employers to offer equitable opportunities and make hiring for potential a reality. We support young people facing systemic barriers to access the training and opportunities they need to transition successfully to work. We work with employers across the early careers lifecycle, from sourcing candidates to supporting progression and retention. We also deliver our flagship Early Careers Programme, matching young people in need of opportunity with businesses looking to access brilliant, diverse entry-level talent. We provide comprehensive training and support to both interns and placement providers in order to maximise the placement’s chance of success. The outcome is lasting change for both the young people and organisations we work with.

We spent a brilliant day at AMS on Friday with a group of young people from our ongoing programme. The AMS team facilitated workshops and hosted a panel discussion for our cohort, as part of their Global Day of Giving. Thank you for hosting us!

How would you describe GoodWork in one word? That’s what we asked our young people, team and partners recently… and here’s what they had to say. We’re so excited to share a preview of what we’ve been working on recently with Mediorite. This project captures a snapshot of what we’ve achieved over the past two years. Through our short film that we’ll be sharing next week, and many more interviews and insights to come, you’ll be hearing directly from the people we work with and for. We will miss the brilliant Liberty King hugely as she moves on to new adventures and steps down from the Board at GoodWork. Liberty has been part of the team from the very beginning and provided invaluable advice and support as we've grown from an idea to where we are today. A huge thank you to Liberty for her time with us and all the best for the future 👏👏👏
After 2.5 years, the time has come for me to move on from my role as Non-Executive Director on the Board of GoodWork. I have had the privilege of being part of the team from the very beginning helping to set up the company and lay the foundations for the governance structures that have supported GoodWork’s growth. Other milestones include setting up our impact measuring framework, publishing our very first impact report, and growing our amazing Board. However, my personal highlight will always be interviewing many impressive young people for our very first cohort and feeling inspired by every single one of them. GoodWork supports young people who face systemic barriers to access the training and opportunities they need to tranisition successfully into the workforce. This mission is a cause close to my heart and whilst I may be moving on from my official role, I remain deeply committed to the values and vision GoodWork stands for. Thank you to Felicity Halstead for believing in me and bringing me on as one of the two first Board members along with the fab Dale Graham. And to the other members of our Board, I'll miss working with you all.
