International landscape architecture practice. Lively minds making a liveable world.
About us
Grant Associates is a pioneering international landscape architecture practice with offices in Bath, UK and Singapore, Asia. Our work reconnects people with nature in insightful, delightful and distinctive ways whilst addressing the global challenges of urbanisation, the climate crisis and biodiversity extinction. Our design process is underpinned by a knowledge of human behaviour, nature and ecological science combined with innovative design technology. We bring original thinking, creative collaboration and are exploring what regenerative design and the circular economy means to landscape architecture. While we enjoy being playful and inventive, our approach isn’t just about experience and aesthetics. It’s about the creation of inspirational places and spaces that have purpose, a distinctive identity, feel good to be in, promote wellbeing and are part of a healthy, biodiverse ecosystem. Our varied portfolio includes ambitious large-scale, landmark projects through to small, perfectly formed local ventures. We work just as happily in urban and rural environments but we push and challenge ourselves every time, determined to remain at the forefront of change and relevance in the world of landscape architecture.

We’re proud to have played a key role in co-designing Rainforest Wild Asia, Asia’s first adventure-based zoological park - which officially opened to the public this month. Since our appointment by Mandai Wildlife Group eight years ago, we’ve helped shape the landscape vision for this immersive 13-hectare wildlife park – a tourism hotspot where visitors can connect with nature like never before. The project involves open, naturalistic habitats and elevated walkways where animals can roam without visible barriers. This offers visitors the unique chance to experience life in the rainforest, across thoughtfully designed landscapes. From harnessed climbs to cave expeditions, the park redefines how people experience wildlife and the rainforest. It’s a real celebratory moment bringing the project to life, and we hope it inspires a deeper appreciation for both biodiversity and conservation. #RainforestWildAsia is open! Designed to surprise and delight, and crafted with purpose, this attraction brings together immersive experiences and conservation-driven design. Nature takes centre stage, adventure awaits at every turn, and every detail is woven into the landscape with care. From traversing the jagged limestone formations of The Karsts, to exploring the lush heights of The Canopy, or venturing into the depths of The Cavern, inspired by Sarawak’s dramatic Mulu Caves, visitors are invited to lose themselves in the magic of the Southeast Asian rainforest. A huge thank you to our collaborators for helping bring this vision to life! #RegenerativeDesign #WildlifeHabitat #BiophilicDesign #LandscapeArchitecture

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the incredible women shaping the landscapes of tomorrow – while also recognising the urgent need for gender equity in our industry and beyond. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where women in landscape architecture can thrive. With 77% of our Singapore office and 50% of our UK office comprised of women, their contributions are driving meaningful change and leading on climate-resilient projects. As we push for progress, we also celebrate trailblazers like Fanny Wilkinson, the UK’s first professional female landscape designer, whose pioneering work paved the way for women in the field today. Of course, there is still work to do. This year’s #AccelerateAction theme reminds us that progress doesn’t happen by chance – it happens when we actively challenge barriers, champion diversity, and create opportunities for all. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 #WomenInDesign

Proud to have played a leading design role in the regeneration of Plant Basingstoke. The heritage-led redevelopment has transformed the former Mountbatten House, one of Britain's most important listed modern buildings, into a major regional asset. It’s been great to work alongside Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios (FCBStudios), Twelve Architects & Masterplanners Dubai and Studio Knight Stokoe. We were honoured to attend the official launch of Brabazon new town by YTL, officiated by the Malaysian Prime Minister. This transformative project will deliver 6,500 sustainable homes, as part of a vibrant new neighbourhood on Bristol’s historic Filton Airfield. It’s been a privilege to collaborate on this landmark scheme as part of the design team, and we look forward to continuing our work on this exciting development.
