We’ve been given the greenlight by Wiltshire Council to build 26 new affordable homes in the village of Semington.   The new development will comprise 16 homes for affordable rent and 10 homes which will be available through shared ownership.   To cater for a variety of local housing need, our plans contain a broad mix of accommodation including, one-bedroom and two-bedroom bungalows, and two-bedroom and three-bedroom houses.   Find out more about this new development here: bit.ly/3ALqjow

We’re excited to be supporting River Warriors, an environmental and conservation group active in Calne.   We recently awarded River Warriors a grant of £900 through our Community Impact Fund to fund environmental improvements and run engagement activities for local children. The grant aims to enhance the environment along Abberd Brook and engage local children in outdoor activities, fostering a greater awareness of the environment and wildlife in the area.   Our Community Impact Fund is an initiative designed to support customer groups, local charities, voluntary and community groups and organisations operating within our service areas.   Find out more about our collaboration with River Warriors here: bit.ly/3WQILnq

Our new affordable homes at Hampton Park are almost ready for handover!   We partnered with WV Living to build 178 low carbon homes which includes 29 affordable rent, and 16 shared ownership homes. The new homes have been built using high quality pre-fabricated timber panels from our award winning, low carbon manufacturing facility, LoCaL Homes. Construction is now underway on our affordable homes scheme, known as Airfield House, which will help transform a former RAF site in Warwickshire.   We will deliver 60 new affordable homes through a partnership with Vistry Group who are recognised as the UK’s leading mixed-tenure affordable housing developer.   The Airfield House development, located in Long Marston, will help to meet a variety of local housing need by providing 25 homes for affordable rent and 13 homes for social rent with the remaining 22 homes available under a shared ownership scheme.   Find out more about the Airfield House development here: bit.ly/46MsbcI

This summer, our Community Involvement and Investment Team are hosting customer roadshows to engage with customers across our communities. We have now completed half of our roadshows, having already visited Daventry, Wiltshire, Gloucester and Dudley. It’s great to see work is progressing well at the Stirchley Co-operative Development (SCD), an innovative, community-led housing and retail development in South Birmingham.   The £10.4 million development which will be owned and managed by SCD will provide 39 new homes and three retail units for long-established Stirchley community businesses.   GSA have provided significant project support for the development and will continue to be involved until construction is complete.   Find out more about this new development here: bit.ly/3WlZAYD
