🌟How can schools inspire more girls to dive into STEM subjects? 🌟 A lot of what I do is recruiting varying types of engineers and science professionals. Since starting the business in 2022, less than 20% of the people we have placed have been female. There is an imbalance, particularly in engineering. So when I do work with amazing female engineers and scientists, I love telling my 7-year-old daughter all about what they do for a living👩🔬🪛🔬 I was telling her about a Manufacturing Engineer who starts their new job next week. My phone has a thing called "sketch to image", which does just what it says, and she drew what she imagined her to look like. How cute is this Stefania Matei! I want all young girls to feel like all avenues are open to them! Work-life balance is now the top motivator for employees worldwide 🌍 According to an annual survey by Randstad, finding or keeping a job that fits with the rest of life has leapfrogged pay for the first time in 22 years. A staggering 83% of 26,000 workers from 35 countries prioritised work-life balance over salary. Even in today's challenging economic climate, people are asking for more from their employers. - ✅ 31% of workers have quit jobs due to lack of flexible working options. - ✅ 74% of Gen Z workers prioritise work-life balance over pay. - ✅ Flexibility in working hours and location has become the norm, rising from 57% and 51% to 65% and 60% respectively. It's clear that the way we work has fundamentally changed. It was a freezing cold morning in the north with a bitter wind, but that dry robe kept him toasty warm! The charity "Surfers not Street Children" holds a special place in our hearts. They're doing such wonderful work helping children at risk and street children in South Africa and Mozambique.
