We are seeking talented, enthusiastic and engaged Part 1 and Part 2 Architectural Assistants and Architects to join our team in London to work on a range of projects in the UK, Norway and other international locations. Join Dimitris Argyros, Technical Director from Haptic Architects on 25th September at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) 2024 International Conference, held at the Barbican Centre in London. He will be presenting the thought leadership piece "A model for a sustainable and regenerative tower", developed with Ramboll and winner of this yea's CTBUH "Award of Excellence" in the Innovation category. In his talk, Dimitris will explain the flexible and adaptable tower typology and associated benefits including extended building lifespan and reduced whole life carbon as well as the application across three different regions. Regenerative Highrise Our regenerative high-rise project has been shortlisted for the CTBUH Innovation Award 2024. Haptic, in collaboration with Ramboll, have developed a proposal for a new sustainable and regenerative tower typology. The typology maximises flexibility and adaptability to extend its lifespan to 150+ years. It seeks to address the challenge of waste in the construction industry and uses a series of ‘maxi-floors’ – innovative, three-storey-high structural decks. The intermediate soft decks are lightweight and interchangeable, to allow the tower to be flexible and reprogrammed over time, according to social and economic

Tarnkvartalet Tarnkvartalet is shortlisted for the WAF Future Projects Award, in the Education category 2024. Haptic Architects, together with PIR2, are working on a new school and cultural centre for the Bærum municipality, creating a bold new landmark building on the site of Oslo’s decommissioned airport, for an emerging neighbourhood in Fornebu.

We are very proud that our community hub in Kings Cross for Related Argent has been shortlisted for the Building Design 'Public Building of the Year Award 2024'. The building offers several uses to new and existing residents of the Kings Cross area. With an easily accessible café, a gym that focuses on group exercise and a creche, the building is an intergenerational well-being hub. Creating spaces that promote social interaction, physical activity and community engagement is crucial for enhancing the well-being of individuals and fostering a sense of belonging. The ground floor opens up to the green central courtyard, designed by Fabrik, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, inviting people to explore and engage with both environments. The integrated bench seating provides a functional resting place and also an opportunity for people to gather, socialise, and enjoy the space together - fostering a sense of community and creating a welcoming environment. The honey-coloured timber frame structure creates a warm and inviting atmosphere within the building. Generous windows and skylights provide ample natural light and also offer framed views of both adjacent urban and green spaces. Timber has a natural beauty and tactileness that creates an atmosphere of warmth and tranquillity, making it an excellent material for promoting a sense of well-being. The main structure and most of the facade are made from engineered timber and celebrate timber as a contemporary construction material. By showcasing timber in a modern and distinctive way, the building highlights its aesthetic qualities and emphasises its potential as a flexible and environmentally friendly construction material. W3 serves as a testament to the versatility and beauty of timber and also showcases the importance of creating a sustainable built environment.   The whole area of Kings cross has undergone a remarkable journey of urban rejuvenation and projects like W3 contribute to the creation of vibrant, resilient communities with sustainability at its core.
