As the first week of the new UK Parliament kicks off, 67 organisations from across Scotland's renewable energy industry and supply chain have joined a call by Scottish Renewables to the new UK Government to maximise Contracts for Difference Allocation Rounds. In a letter to the new Prime Minister, Chancellor of the Exchequer and Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Scottish Renewables have highlighted the importance of uplifting the Allocation Round 6 budget for delivering the capacity needed to meet ambitious 2030 deployment targets from vital Scottish projects. My path into engineering hasn't been linear. I hope my story will encourage others to consider engineering a potential career opportunity even if it means walking the path less trodden.
