Our operations team have been out installing more of our #BG800 temporary steel barrier for Balfour Beatty plc on the National Highways #M25 #J10 improvement project. 💪🛣️ This time, our barrier has been put in place to help facilitate worker safety during the installation of a new heathland bridge over the #A3 – the first of its kind in the UK. The bridge will serve as a wildlife corridor covered in heathland – allowing wildlife to safely move between both sides of the common. It’s time for a fun Fri-yay – our first of 2025! 🎉🎉 🎉 At Highway Care we enjoy learning about other cultures and traditions from around the world and last week, our Customer Service Supervisor Mélanie Tragner brought a slice of French tradition into the office in the form of a yummy Gallet des Rois or ‘King Cake’! 🍰 This special cake is served only once a year on the twelfth night of Christmas (6th January) and a small figurine or ‘feve’ is hidden inside – whoever finds the figure in their slice is crowned King or Queen for the day! 👑🙌 The team enjoyed tasting the cake – a buttery puff pastry filled with almond cream, which Mél made herself using her mum’s recipe - and Eleanor Wood and Phil Luke were crowned Highway Care King and Queen!
