Whether you’re a glass half full, half empty, or full to the brim kind of person, there’s no denying Britain’s been keeping us all on our toes lately. In partnership with Ipsos and the British Chambers of Commerce, we’ve done a deep dive into two key questions. How distinctive (and therefore successful) would Britain be if it were a brand? And what does ‘Brand Britain’ mean for British brands and business leaders today? So put the kettle on and get out the good biscuits, this is one you’ll want to settle in for: https://lnkd.in/gPbgYEgK #branding #brandbritain #britishbusiness #distinctiveness

Well this is a great listen (if we do say so ourselves). The Ritchie from JKR aka Ian Ritchie shares his life through design - and what a story he has to tell: "When we first started we were 9 people with 8 desks in a little basement studio - that was the environment that was going to make or break you. [..] But it made us, and it was great." Over to you Ian…
🔴 My Life in Design with Ian Ritchie designer and co-founder of Jones Knowles Ritchie 📣📣🎉🔴 Design legend Ian sat down with Claire to talk about his life in design, from his early experiences of earning his way with signwriting, to art school and the evolution and growth of design agency JKR. 🎤 On the podcast Ian shares his story of JKR, from co-founding, to the challenges and the big decisions made to enable success (including choosing people over clients and fee income) 👏 🎤 On the relationship between design and advertising and the need for cross-disciplinary talent 💡 🎤 Insights into what he’s doing post-JRK, including the design of a typeface that will be launching next year… 👨🏼💻 🔴 And Ian’s hope that young designers are getting into the studio, meeting people and absorbing it all! 🚀 🔴 My Life in Design is a collaboration between design focused PR agency Red Setter and the Design Business Association (DBA), hosted by our very own design champion Claire Blyth 👏👏👏 LISTEN, DOWNLOAD AND SHARE >>> 🎧 https://lnkd.in/e88NG8kp 🍎 https://lnkd.in/e9qsVSxp #podcast #design #branddesign

Meet Ben. At JKR for 8 years, we know him as a brilliant creative, friendly and supportive colleague and, of course, DnD Dungeon Master. He’s also a neurodiverse senior designer on the Autistic Spectrum. And he’d like to talk about it. A phenomenally honest and brave read, this long-form thought piece speaks to his lived experiences with neurodiversity and how that shapes his life and creativity. --- Trigger Warning: this post and article concerns topics related to mental health, including but not limited to neurodiversity, depression, dysphoria and medical gaslighting.
My name is Ben. I am a neurodiverse senior designer on the Autistic Spectrum. And I'd like to talk about it. --- Trigger Warning: this post and article concerns topics related to mental health, including but not limited to neurodiversity, depression, dysphoria and medical gaslighting. --- Good evening folks - I am back, and I have written another long-form thought piece - this time concerning my lived experiences with discovering I am Neurodiverse and on the Autistic Spectrum. Why have I written it, and why share it here? Well, just like last time, all too often we don't. I want to foster a space for creatives where speaking about neurodiversity - either your own, or the neurodiversity of people you work with - is not a taboo or stigmatised thing. Where such subjects can be discussed and received easily, openly, tolerably, knowledgeably and compassionately. Because I am not the only person working in our industry with Neurodiversity, but not everyone is as willing or capable of speaking of it. And to aid that - I'd like to shed a light on my own personal experiences, so that those among us who identify as Neurodiverse feel seen, and to help those among us who identify as Neurotypical feel more comfortable speaking about such topics going forward, without fear of getting things wrong. --- #designer #neurodiversity #autistic #livedexperience #share #creative

Paradigms x JKR x Mozilla “We aren’t investing in the next quarter, we are investing in the next quarter century.” Mozilla told us this in 2023 - in 2024 we're building a brand to support them on that journey. JKR’s Lisa Smith and Mozilla’s Amy Bebbington took to the Paradigms stage yesterday to give an inside look at how we came together to reimagine a brand that can stretch from grassroots to government. Check out the key take aways and some on-stage moments (great to have Studio DRAMA's William Richardson join us for the Q&A!).

“We don’t want to fall into the digital wind tunnel where everything looks the same” says Lisa Smith.” Check out Mozilla's new brand system, bucking the trends of big tech with a rebrand that’s as intricate as its organization. https://lnkd.in/gnSVg9hx #brandidentity #rebrand #tech #internet #technology #misinformation #design #AI #privacy

🚨 NEW WORK ALERT 🚨 Not just another tech company - Mozilla puts control of the internet back into the hands of the people using it. More than just a facelift, the new digital-first brand identity cements Mozilla’s role as a beacon of digital rights and innovation, putting people over profits through privacy-preserving products, open-source developer resources, and community-building efforts, empowering everyone to choose their own digital destiny. The new design system, "Grassroots to Government," resonates with Mozilla’s breadth of audiences, building real brand equity to drive innovation, acquisition, and stand out in a crowded tech market. #brandidentity #rebrand #tech #internet #technology #misinformation #design #AI #privacy
