Exciting changes are underway in Chorley! Reinvigorating the heart of Chorley Town Centre, JTP has been appointed as architects and masterplanners to lead on three key sites with Chorley Council and Trebbi Continuum helping to enrich the town centre experience for residents and visitors. With the support of the council's successful Levelling Up Fund in 2022, JTP will help craft a vision to support and shape projects including transforming the Civic Square, modernising the council's Union Street offices, and repurposing Bengal Street into a new residential neighbourhood. A burst of gold in the sunlight! Our latest photography session capturing Park Rise in the sunshine really emphasises the warm palette of colours and materials that were designed to mimic the tonal shades of a sunrise. Focussed around five new buildings and a central landscaped courtyard, JTP collaborated with London Borough of Havering and Wates Group to deliver the 178 new dwellings for over-55s include in a campus-style layout to draw in the character of Harrow Lodge Park and deliver new homes that embrace the landscape and a communal-orientated design. 📸 Fotohaus Ltd #parkrise #havering #altresi #architects #design #placemaking

A Reflection on a Decade of Community-Led Stewardship and Placemaking✨ Last month, JTP held our Creating Healthy Communities event at our London studio, Pennington Street Warehouse, where we were joined by industry experts for an evening of presentations and collaborative learning about how to deliver exemplary new communities. The event deeply resonated with people and underscored a critical truth that when designing new places, the focus must go beyond constructing homes. Truly successful neighbourhoods are ultimately nurtured around vibrant communities that foster connection, pride of place and longevity.
