    Spooktober has come to an end, keep swiping to see what we've been up to this month 🎃 1. Our Legal and Regulatory team were out volunteering in North Ferriby with The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) 2. Our employee Community Panel met to review this quarter’s applications. Once again, a bumper round of 47 applications! 3. We attended Ron Dearing’s Partner Breakfast and are busy planning more ways to engage in their curriculum this year 4. We attended Wyke College’s Sixth Form Career Fair 5. We delivered a STEM event at Penshurst primary for 75 budding young engineers 6. Consistent, face to face presence at weekly markets in Selby, Pocklington and Driffield 7. We kicked off our first “Full Fibre FRYday” free ‘chippy tea’ incentive in Burstwick 8. Building relationships with local convenience stores in the in the expansion areas we serve 9. KCOM has delivered the first full fibre-ready holiday park in East Yorkshire 10.     It's Get Online Week this week and what better week than to share a film on the impact our digital inclusion funding is making to local community groups and charities we work with 💻 We recently paid a visit to one of our first winners of our funding - CITY OF HULL SPORT & COMMUNITY GROUP CIC received a grant of £11K back in April this year. Check out this great film which features their new Digi Skills Project which they've been able to fund, thanks to the grant they received from us.     Thanks to our partnership with Hull City, KCOM is proud to offer free tickets throughout the year to various groups, including local schools, community members, and recently, a man named Chris. Chris had been struggling with his mental health for some time before reaching out to Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, who supported him with the care and understanding he needed. Through KCOM’s initiative, Chris had the opportunity to attend a Hull City football match, something that would’ve felt unimaginable not long ago. His story is truly inspiring—after spending weeks at home, often watching 25 James Bond films in a single week, he made a big step forward by attending a game in a stadium with 22,000 fans, alongside his 6-year-old grandson. It’s a reminder that small opportunities can make a huge difference. We’re grateful to be a part of this journey with Chris and so many others. #MentalHealthMatters #CommunitySupport

    A privilege to be part of Hull City’s 120th birthday celebrations! 🎉 Recently I had the honour of participating in the photo shoot for Hull City’s commemorative kit, marking a special milestone for both the club and KCOM – as we both share the same birthday, being founded in 1904. The bond between KCOM and the Tigers has always been strong, from the naming of the stadium to initiatives like KCOM Kits and the Senior Tigers, which we proudly support today. What made it even more special was having my son, Harry, by my side. A moment we’ll cherish forever, and one he’ll no doubt enjoy sharing with his mates at school! 🙌 Although my joke about becoming the new chairman didn’t quite land, I’m convinced my words of encouragement helped spur the team on to their 4-1 victory over Cardiff the very next day! ⚽ #HullCity #120Years #ProudMoment #FatherAndSon #KCOM #TigersTogether
