Progress is well underway on site in Mayfair! We're working on the extensive refurbishment of a Grade II Listed family home, including the addition of a second-floor conservatory and fully updated services, all while restoring the original character of the building's designated heritage assets. Great to be working alongside MBDS, Regency Grove Consultants and Seacon Ltd on this beautiful property - we can't wait to share more updates as the building comes back to life!

We’re excited to unveil Villa Natu, a stunning new Caribbean escape that redefines the traditional tropical villa with a fresh, modern perspective. Designed for Pearns Point Antigua, this turnkey luxury villa focuses on crafting an exceptional living experience. Perched on a solid stone base, reminiscent of classic island homes, the villa has been designed with tranquillity in mind. The design centres around framing the site’s breathtaking ocean views while offering generous shade and natural ventilation. Discover more about this exciting project in our latest journal post: https://lnkd.in/ezhP7pgN Thank you to the design team, Guy Adam Ailion, Yordan Vakarelov & Cosmin Stefan, for their hard work on this project!

Preparing to head to the south of France tomorrow has us reflecting on our gorgeous Cap D’Ail project, Villa Malet. This stunning Belle Epoque building was renovated & reimagined by KSR, the result of which is a luxury residence spread over three compounds, including eight bedrooms, tiered gardens cut into the cliffside, a 20 metre pool and an annexed barbecue house. So exciting to see these plots on the market! Designing & achieving planning for these properties was a joy; working alongside Form Structural Design, RPS & Integration.
Daniel Daggers and I have been exclusively instructed on two exceptional plots for sale on one of London’s most prestigious streets - Avenue Road, NW8. Both have planning permission for circa 21,000 sq ft houses, presenting a rare opportunity to develop ultra-prime homes in a highly sought-after location. Please DM for more information.

We are excited to share that Westminster Council has granted planning permission for our project near Berkeley Square, in the heart of Mayfair. This sensitive scheme oversees the small extension of a six-storey home alongside a comprehensive refurbishment and restoration of the building. Set within the Mayfair Conservation Area, our careful approach focuses on enhancing the character and appearance of the existing structure, breathing new life into a tired and underutilised building. Stay tuned to see this project come to life! Congratulations to Project Architect David Marcos & Partner Sam Cooke. Thank you DP9 Limited, Donald Insall, Ecolytik & Integration for your work on the project!

Insightful thoughts from KSR Partner Guy Adam Ailion
Founder, CEO of Mattoboard. Partner of KSR Architects. Sharing SMALL ideas with HUGE Impact in design & psychology at → smallhuge.com (A micro-newsletter for Designers)
Curved lines whisper safety; Straight lines speak order. Great design uses both. ✨🎨 This is how your brain reacts to the shape of a line: 👇 Evolution shaped our brains to love curves. —they mimic nature, signalling safety and calm. Straight lines are rare in the wild, so their presence brings structure. — they have clarity, appealing to our need for control. A study published by the National Academy of Sciences found that people consistently rated curved objects as more beautiful and pleasing than angular ones. This preference is thought to stem from our evolutionary aversion to sharp edges, which could signal harm, versus smooth curves, which are associated with safety and comfort. 💃 The design of Logos, products, architecture, or interiors - is a dance of lines. Straight lines and curved Lines. Emotion and logic. Nature and human ingenuity. The best designs balance both, creating spaces that feel alive and grounded. Do these staircases feel different? We’re delighted to share that we have secured planning approval for the complete renovation and extension of a family home in Hampstead’s conservation area. The carefully considered design balances contemporary living with heritage sensitivity, overcoming a complex planning process in collaboration with Camden Council. ✨ Exploring Design Trends at Maison & Objet 2025 ✨ Our senior interiors team attended Maison & Objet 2025, alongside clients of an ongoing project, to explore design trends and source FF&E. From artisan craftsmanship to surrealist themes, the show offered a glimpse into the future of interiors. Highlights included stunning pieces from Maeve’s nature-inspired collections, Glenn Sestig's collaboration with GIOBAGNARA, and the striking Cactus console table by Ginger & Jagger. Dive into our key takeaways, including trends like maximalism and the fusion of traditional and modern techniques, in our journal: https://lnkd.in/ejRivBh3 #DesignInspiration #MaisonObjet2025 #Interiors
