Just one in four of the manufacturing sector’s workforce are women, and this has remained the same for the last 20 years. This has to change and we’re working with our partners at MTC - Manufacturing Technology Centre, to drive our shared ambition to strengthen support for girls and women in manufacturing.
Driving change for women in manufacturing. We’re proud to announce an exciting collaboration between MTC and Lloyds to support and empower women in manufacturing. On April 4th, we will be hosting a Women in Manufacturing roundtable discussion, bringing together representatives from local government, Lloyds, MTC Training, engineering and procurement apprentices, and their manufacturing employers. This session will focus on practical strategies to attract more women into the industry, ensuring manufacturing becomes more inclusive, diverse, and innovative. Our goal is clear: turning discussion into action. By uniting voices from across industry, training, and government, we aim to create meaningful change, highlight inspiring career pathways, and champion the incredible women already shaping the sector. We look forward to sharing insights and key takeaways from this discussion to help drive real progress 📣 #WhereProgressHappens #IWD #WomenInManufacturing #Inclusion #FutureOfManufacturing Heather Clarke Lloyds Business & Commercial MTC Training
