Tonight marks the launch of the Lloyds Women in Financial Institutional Groups (WiFIG) Network. Designed to serve as a platform for collaboration, this evening’s event brings together clients and colleagues to discuss the challenges, trends and success stories surrounding the inclusion of women in finance. Lisa Francis and Leyla Sadeghpour opened the event by sharing their own experiences from within the industry, followed by a fireside chat with John Winter and Mrs Anita Griggs of Faulkner House, emphasising the importance of allyship. Afterwards, Zalmah A. introduced an insightful session hosted by Christopher White, with panellists Sandra Prince, Cheryl Hurst, PhD and Tangwena Nelson, dissecting some of the statistics surrounding gender diversity within financial services. A huge thank you to everyone in the WiFIG network for joining us this evening.

The Future Homes Hub published the standard set of sustainability metrics for the new homes sector at the Future Homes Conference 2024. These metrics have been developed through a collaborative process between homebuilders, financial institutions, Homes England, NextGeneration Initiative and other bodies to enable consistent and robust measurement of progress across companies and the sector. The next phase of work is to publish measurement methods, guidance and reporting tools at the launch of the core metrics in Spring 2025 with a lead in period for reporting. 🆕 UK Sector Tracker January 2025 “Faced with widespread input cost pressures, our data suggests that firms are taking decisions to reduce operating expenses and protect their margins. This could help businesses limit the degree to which they may need to raise prices in the face of fragile demand, allowing them to retain customers rather than seek increased volumes."
