We have just purchased a prime site for £32m in Vauxhall – our third acquisition within a month.   The latest acquisition follows our recent purchases of prime sites in Tite Street, Chelsea, and Westminster Tower on Albert Embankment.   The Zone 1 site of just under an acre in Wyvil Road, is one of the few remaining key tranches of land with development potential within the Vauxhall/Nine Elms and Battersea Opportunity Area. Planning permission is in place for a residential-led scheme rising to 36 storeys.   The site’s central location makes it a highly attractive proposition for new homes. Transport links are excellent, with Nine Elms station close by, offering fast connections to the City and West End within 15 minutes on the Northern Line. School pupils from Earlsfield Primary School spent a morning discovering how to build a wall and finding out all kinds of fascinating facts during a site visit to London Square Earlsfield, a collection of family homes and apartments being delivered by London Square beside Springfield Park in SW17.   The six to 11 year olds dressed up in hard hats, gloves and hi-vis jackets and  were taken on a tour of the site, walking up a hill in Springfield Park to view the development. They were then shown by the London Square team how to lay a brick and build a wall before tackling some construction workbooks. There was a fun quiz and a look at an architects’ model of London Square Earlsfield which shows Earlsfield Primary School, which caused great excitement among the young builders.   Rosalind Gowers, of Earlsfield Primary School, said: “The children loved the practical part of the trip when they were invited to lay a brick, as it was something they had never done before. They loved meeting the London Square team and had lots of questions to ask. They were also delighted with the little gift bags they were given. It was a lovely, informative morning. “   Becky Boden, Head of Sales South, London Square, said: “We had such an enjoyable time with Earlsfield Primary School, who are our neighbours.  It was a fun morning but also an educational visit so children become aware of what happens on a building site and our absolute commitment to safety. London Square Nine Elms has been awarded the prestigious title of Best Flat at the 33rd Evening Standard New Homes Awards.   Held at The Dorchester on Park Lane, the ceremony was hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis and attended by leaders from across the property industry. The Evening Standard’s CEO, Paul Kanareck, presented the awards.   London Square Nine Elms triumphed in the highly competitive category for Best Flat in a Development of Over 100 Residences, with Apartment 201—a three-bedroom show home designed by acclaimed interior designer Honky Interior Architecture & Design—taking the top spot.   The judges praised the development, noting: “This apartment is part of a landmark regeneration project in one of central London’s most exciting areas, offering breathtaking views of the River Thames.
