Less than a week to go until School Summit NI! The event connects young people with future opportunities and will take place at The Eikon Centre in Lisburn on October 7th & 8th. Developing talent and inspiring young people to join our industry is essential in addressing the skills shortage and inequalities within the built environment. Our Design and Build Director David Wellwood will be presenting at the event, sharing his progression pathway within the business and opportunities for others. Visit us at stand 73! #WeCollaborate

Our Head of Responsible Business Shauna Young has shared her expertise on effectively integrating social value into projects in SCAPE’s latest guest blog. "Social value, or sustainable procurement, focuses on maximising the impact of our client's capital spend and investment while addressing business and industry needs, benefiting not just the economy but also our communities and the environment. No matter the terminology, the goal is the same: to drive long-term value and sustainability through strategic decision-making." #SocialValue #ESG #SustainableProcurement

We’re delighted to announce that our Barking Riverside Pier project won the Best Infrastructure Project Award for a small project at last week’s Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) London Awards. The project involved installing a pedestrian pier and a new pontoon to accommodate the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers river buses. This was part of the Barking Riverside development, a new neighbourhood of over 10,000 homes built alongside a 2km River Thames frontage. Congratulations to the team involved in the project 🏆👏

The Commonwealth Games are coming back to Glasgow! 🏃🏊 When Glasgow last hosted the games in 2014, we constructed two of the venues: Tollcross Aquatic Centre and Scotstoun Stadium. We’re excited that athletes from across the Commonwealth will be able to compete at these venues once more and hopefully build on their successes from the 2022 Games in Birmingham, which we are also proud to have been involved in with Alexander Stadium's redevelopment. Will Scotstoun Stadium yield more medals for the home nations than Alexander Stadium? We can’t wait to find out! 🏅
