We are very happy to complete the acquisition of this series of characterful buildings in the heart of Smithfield, #Farringdon. The property is strategically located adjacent to the north side of the Smithfield Regeneration Project which, among other fantastic amenities, will be the home to the #MuseumOfLondon. Special thanks to Milton Karamani, Michael Raibin & the Compton team for their advice throughout the transaction. A big thanks to Dentons team for their hard work & dedication.

Farringdon Acquisition Complete 🚨 ✍️ Compton   Pleased to have acted on the Freehold acquisition of 55 & 57 - 61 Charterhouse Street EC1, on behalf of BNF CAPITAL LIMITED and Morgan Capital.    Together, 55 & 57 - 61 Charterhouse Street provide 33,103 sq ft of office and retail accommodation across two main buildings, both of which are arranged over basement, ground and three upper floors. The site also consists of a unique courtyard with three smaller buildings to the rear.    The buildings are located at the heart of Farringdon, directly opposite Smithfield Market, which is undergoing a significant redevelopment to house the new Museum of London and become a ‘cultural, commercial and creative space’. The arrival of the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) as well as the diverse amenity offering has attracted tenants such as TikTok, Snapchat and Amazon to the local area.   Great working on this with Nick Grosse, Ken Edwards, and the wider Morgan Capital team.   Also great working on this with Robert Buchele, Chloe Newton and Lucy McLean of Savills who represented the vendor. Finally, a massive thank you to John Arey and the wider Dentons team for their hard work in getting this over the line. If you have any similar investment ideas, are buying or selling, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Compton investment team. mk@compton.london 07720 070 466

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Trevor Morgan, who passed away suddenly on Friday, 2nd August. Trevor had a hugely successful career of which he was rightly proud. He left Edward Erdman in 1986 with David Pepper to found Morgan Pepper, which quickly established itself as one of the leading niche agency practices, focussed solely on the City of London and Midtown submarkets. Whilst he initially focussed on leasing agency, he developed his skillset to include investment agency and was involved in many significant investment transactions. These included the acquisition of Ashdown House (123 Victoria St), Globe House, and 1 London Wall amongst many others. Having left Morgan Pepper in 2002, he founded Morgan Consulting. Here he advised on the acquisition of Plantation Place for £527m, at the time the largest single asset transaction in UK history. In 2010 he launched Morgan Capital together with Ken Edwards and his eldest son, Alex, as an operating partner delivering acquisition, asset management and development management services focussed initially on central London and expanding recently to include key regional cities. His youngest son, Simon, joined in 2016. The business flourished under his guidance, working closely with a small number of family office and institutional partners. In the 14 years since its launch, Morgan Capital has been involved in 27 transactions, incorporating approximately 1.4m sq ft of development with a GDV of c. £2bn and an asset management portfolio of approximately £600m. Whilst he had taken a step back in recent years from day-to-day matters, he still loved coming into work three days a week and was immensely proud of everything that was being achieved by the firm. Everyone who met him will have noticed his enthusiasm and a twinkle in his eye of someone at the start of their careers. Energetic, generous, kind and completely devoid of cynicism, he thrived on working with his sons and surrounding himself with a fantastic young team.    Trevor was a role model, mentor and friend to everyone at Morgan Capital and to Alex and Simon he was this and so much more. Words are unable to express how much he will be missed by everyone. Most importantly, he was utterly devoted to his family. He leaves behind Jane, his wife of 50 years (pictured with him), his two sons Alex and Simon, and his four grandchildren – Dominic, Oscar, Max and Noemie.

Morgan Capital are proud to have acquired its inaugural asset in #Bristol with our long-standing partner, BNF CAPITAL LIMITED. Programme, All Saint's Street is a well located adjacent to Castle Park a short walk from the F&B and other amenity offers in the Old Town. The #property was acquired from Resolution who advanced it to the next stage of its evolution through two phases of refurbishment between 2018 & 2020. We plan to enhance the building’s strong fundamentals even further to provide #office and #retail space that will appeal to the dynamic occupier base in Bristol for many years to come. Watch this space! A big thanks to James Crawford & Dentons for all their efforts, and to Savills & JLL who will continue to provide leasing advice. #CRE #AddingValue #NewPlaces
