We had a brilliant morning at Totally Wicked Stadium for Insider Media’s Future of #StHelens Breakfast. We were proud to sponsor the event, which highlighted #StHelens’ ambitious plans, maximising the borough as a key part of #LiverpoolCityRegion, opportunities for local businesses and why it’s a valuable place to invest. We’re working in partnership with St Helens Council to transform #StHelens and #Earlestown centres, with some exciting milestones achieved in recent weeks. A big thank you to everyone who joined #OurSustainableFuture seminar this morning. #OurSustainableFuture is our holistic strategy for delivering impactful, #sustainable places and operating as a responsible business. Our Head of Sustainability and Social Value, Syreeta Bayne, opened the event giving an overview of our approach and highlighting our key focus areas for 2025. For our first panel discussion, Syreeta was joined by Chris Scott (Muse), Amy Ingham (The Good Economy), John Alker (Legal & General) and Sarah Greenwood (Homes England) to explore how public and private #investments can be used to deliver quality homes and positive change in local #communities. The panel reflected on the delivery of places and #communities which create long-term #socialvalue. The panellists discussed #partnership working, including engaging closely with communities, and how to ensure #regeneration leaves a long-term legacy with people at its heart. Moving on to a discussion about the importance of #collaboration to achieve our #sustainability outcomes, our second panel brought together Lisa Gledhill (Muse), Graham Edgell (Morgan Sindall Group plc), Cléo Fitzsimons (Pension Insurance Corporation plc) and Charlotte Hopkinson (Grainger PLC). The speakers highlighted how #collaboration is the way to unlock opportunity by bringing together expert insights and perspectives to achieve common goals. The panel also stressed the importance of passionate teams aligned around shared values and embedded in communities. Syreeta concluded the event announcing the launch of our latest #OurSustainableFuture report. The event was a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge and best practice across the industry, and update everyone on #OurSustainableFuture. We've launched a #CommunityConversation as part of #regeneration plans for #NorthWestQuadrant in #Slough. Identified by Slough Borough Council as a location for a new #mixeduse neighbourhood, #NorthWestQuadrant could include new homes, workspaces, shops and public spaces – as well as delivering significant #socialvalue for the #community. We're now working in partnership with Homes England to develop a comprehensive plan for the #regeneration of the prominent #towncentre location.
