Whilst we are best known as decommissioning specialists here at PDi Ltd, we have always and will always support greenfield and brownfield development projects also. We believe our Engineers, Designers, Analysts, TAs and Project Managers benefit from the diverse through-life engineering challenges of supporting our clients as they develop their fields and assets, efficiently operate to COP as well as when they look to conclude operations. We are currently working on 3 of the most significant major gas development projects in the global energy sector, and our team are thoroughly enjoying the challenge!

The PDi Ltd team will complete more than 1,500 days offshore this year. Additionally, we will spend many more days alongside at ports in the UK and internationally as we support our clients to survey, mobilise and modify their assets. This week we have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Rovco team and familiarising ourselves with the Glomar Supporter. Built in 2009, the Glomar Supporter, which has a proven track record in safe and efficient operations, underwent an extensive rebuild and refurbishment in 2021. The 60 metre vessel is equipped with DP2 station keeping capabilities, a carrying capacity of around 1395 ton DWT and a combined deck space of 497m2. Upon completion of dry docking in 2023, the vessel was delivered to Rovco complete with a keel mounted gondola, an array of deck equipment, and dedicated survey and reporting office suites. What a beauty!

Technical Delivery Manager - Decommissioning | CEng FIMechE FEI MIoL MIET

A fantastic insight into the need for, and value of, ‘Engineering for Successful Decommissioning’ from Hayley Welsh CEng of PDi Ltd last night as part of the regular IMechE Aberdeen Area lecture events. We had near 50 in-person attendees from across many industries and sectors, representing the full spectrum of experience from early career individuals to those with extensive experience in the engineering and energy space. Hayley’s presentation generated some lively discussion and interaction with the attendees, all of whom I believe will have left the session with a few key takeaways. Great to see the decommissioning sector and women in STEM being highly visible and celebrated through events like this. #imechee #decommissioning #energytransition #cpd #womenindecommissioning
