Our team at Edward Street have teamed up with PLF LTD Brickwork, our subcontractor, to donate items to The Wellspring Stockport, a charity who work in and around Stockport supporting the homeless. Our Social Value Manager, Faye Chilekwa and Oliver Tobias-Gibbins from PLF delivered the donations of waterproof sleeping bags, hats, gloves, snood sets, toiletries and boxer shorts to the charity earlier this week. The positive impact The Inclusive Hub CIC has on the local community is remarkable, and we feel privileged to have been part of it. A huge shoutout to all the amazing suppliers from our Lightbody Street project who came together and helped us support this initiative. This achievement is a testament to the power of collaboration.

Manchester & Liverpool are two cities with great history, we are proud to have played a small part in them both. 🏗 We’re pleased with the progress on two of our projects, work on Lightbody Street for Eric Wright Group & House of Social First Street for RENAKER are far from standard. Recently, it’s all about arches and we are happy to share a small snippet of what the finished product will look like. Massive credit is deserved for our operatives on site, and our site management teams that are making these two projects happen. 😁

We are very excited at Salford City College Group to have been supported by our industry partners PLF LTD & IG Masonry Support in developing and producing this amazing brickwork training facility at City Skills! This facility will ensure our learners have the required skills as they enter the next stage of their career! Huge thanks to Peter Kearney from PLF LTD for organising a site visit for our Level 1 Brickwork students, recently. The visit was extremely informative and allowed our students exposure to a real-life working environment. Together with their tutor, Kevin Harold, the students visited the Eric Wright Group construction site at Lightbody Street. On the visit, the students viewed the new and partially built town houses, apartments, and retail buildings. They were all given the opportunity to set brick that will hopefully be there for the next 100 years!    After the visit, Peter said “I thought the visit had given the learners a valuable insight on not just bricklaying but also Health and Safety on site and other activities such as insulation/fire barriers/DPC's” and it's certainly something that they can reflect on in their next brickwork lessons.  The City of Liverpool College
