Yesterday at The Hub at DIRFT, Prologis hosted a Rail Freight Symposium for people interested in finding out about how intermodal #logisitics solutions work. Maggie Simpson OBE from Rail Freight Group kicked things off, explaining the key benefits of Rail Freight Guy Bates from Network Rail ran through some of the basics of Rail Freight with a focus on growth Tim Shoveller from Freightliner Group Ltd gave an overview of Freight Operating Companies and key market trends Andrew Sumner from The Malcolm Group followed up with a view from a Terminal Operator and their work at DIRFT David Mellor from Prologis UK rounded things off with a summary of the DIRFT infrastructure developments The Symposium closed with a well-rounded Q&A panel conversation with all presenters, deep diving into a wide range of topics presented.
