Driving sustainability through innovative refurbishment. 2 Auriol Drive stands as a leading example of modern sustainable development. Through our refurbishment, we ensured that all materials were responsibly sourced and had minimal life cycle impact. We installed sustainable features including a 275kWp photovoltaic array and a 200m² living wall. As a result, it achieved net-zero carbon in operation, setting a benchmark in the industrial sector. Celebrating half a century in Germany!   As we mark this incredible milestone, it's a good time to reflect on our extraordinary journey in Germany from our beginnings in Cologne to our expansion across the country. Germany has become a cornerstone of our portfolio, and we look forward to achieving even greater success in the next 50 years!

It’s not often that basketball and logistics go hand-in-hand, but the opening of a new streetball court at SEGRO Park Cologne City will help locals shoot for the stars.   In partnership with Körbe für Köln e.V. c/o RheinEnergieStiftungen, a local charity, and Rheinstars Köln, a professional Cologne-based basketball team, we’ve created a dedicated space for disadvantaged young people to showcase their skills and work towards a brighter future.   The court’s grand opening event brought together 70 students from TAS—an institution focused on helping refugees and young adults with a migrant background earn their school certificates. This isn’t just a place to play basketball; it’s a space where young people can thrive physically, socially and connect with others who share their passions. It’s all part of our #ResponsibleSEGRO commitment to build lasting partnerships in the communities where we operate.   Open to the over 1,000 people working at SEGRO Park Cologne City, the general public and the students of TAS and Körbe für Köln, this court is about more than just real estate. It’s about creating opportunities for extraordinary moments of self-expression and growth.

Turning natural resources into year-round climate control.   We’ve installed an advanced system of underfloor heating at SEGRO Logistics Centre Venray and all light industrial and logistics units at SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport. It works by using air pumps or ground sourced heat and cold storage – powered by electricity generated by the buildings’ solar panels – to provide efficient climate control year-round. By eliminating the need for gas, we ensure a comfortable and consistent working temperature for our customers without compromising on the total energy output.   As we progress along our net zero carbon journey, innovation is at the heart of this mission. Green technology allows us to pave the way for a more sustainable and efficient future.   #ResponsibleSEGRO

Leading the energy landscape at SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport. Many industrial areas in the Netherlands experience grid congestion. An overloaded power grid directly impacts every company, especially logistics firms that rely on a reliable energy supply to ensure all operations run smoothly and on time. Our Energy Plaza at SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport is made up of 6,200 solar panels, a battery setup with a 1-megawatt capacity and 3 biofuel emergency generators, enabling enough energy to be produced and stored to meet energy demand continuously, providing total independence from the energy grid. Here’s to a future of sustainable and reliable energy.

Continuing to enable the future of audio visual production.   After a successful seven-years at SEGRO Park North Feltham, ATC has tripled its space at the development, signing a 15-year lease in the process. The company, which offers services to production companies, has upsized to a new 26,518 sq ft facility, facilitating further growth and the widening of its customer base throughout London, the South East and the UK as a whole. This new lease demonstrates our commitment to help our customers grow and succeed. As well as supporting AT Communications’ business prosperity, the new building is also designed to reduce its impact on the environment. It is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating and equipped with a variety of sustainability features such as PV panels and EV charging points.   We look forward to seeing the extraordinary things Andrew Thomas and the rest of the AT Communications team achieve with their new space.

Over the past six months, we’ve performed well across our business.   Marco Simonetti highlights some of our key successes across our Continental European markets, underscoring our achievements through innovation.    In the second half of the year, we’re looking to build on this success as we continue to create the space to enable extraordinary things to happen.

Data centres are critical national infrastructure and will be vital across all our markets in the UK and Continental Europe for them to grow and thrive.   Our CEO, David Sleath, shared our collective goals for growth in this sector with EG.

Improving the environment today ensures a greener future for tomorrow. We are striving for the ‘BiodiverCity Life label’ at SEGRO Centre Paris Les Gobelins – an accreditation that evaluates and promotes developments that support biodiversity.   We have launched an initial 3-year action plan to improve the development’s green credentials through new landscaping, sustainable management practices and a proactive communication with local residents.   We’re looking forward to continuing to make a meaningful difference at Les Gobelins.   #ResponsibleSEGRO
