We had a really good start to the year when our client Donard Real Estate gained approval for their mixed use scheme in Woking, Surrey, a few weeks ago. It was an exciting project incorporating 272 build to rent units, with Pulsar providing transport and highways advice from an early stage right through to planning submission. It was a pleasure working with a collaborative team including Pod Architects Ltd, Exterior Architecture Ltd, Currie & Brown and Turley amongst others. Pulsar is a new and dynamic UK based highways and transport planning consultancy (www.pulsartransport.co.uk) founded by Kamran Haider . We specialise in providing transport advice to the land development industry and in particular we help to guide our clients through the planning process. Our work can start at the site selection / feasibility stage where we offer clear guidance on the viability and planning prospects of our client's site. This often leads to support through the planning application stage, where we prepare the necessary documentation to accompany a planning submission, such as Transport Statements / Assessments, Travel Plans, Delivery & Servicing Plans and so on. We provide commercially focused advice for the benefit of our clients making sure our advice is for the long term. We get involved in a wide range of schemes from a handful of dwellings to new settlements; from office extensions to new business parks; from school annexes to new educational establishments and so on.

As we close in on the end of 2024, we are delighted to have helped Capital Homes get this fantastic hotel scheme, in the London Borough of Merton, over the line. The site is on a corner plot on Crown Lane (on TfL's Red Route network) in Morden Town Centre. The pre-application involved extensive (and constructive) discussions with TfL's Spatial Planning team, allowing us to agree on the transport strategy fairly early on in the process.
