Last week the Pegasus Group team in #Newcastle welcomed Paul G Tucker KC, Kings Chambers, and Simon Henig, Stephenson Mohl, to speak alongside Chris Martin of Pegasus Group on the Future of Planning. The breakfast briefing, which was attended by a group of local clients, also saw Sandra Manson, head of the Pegasus Newcastle office and Chair of Developing Consensus, provide updates of the collaborative work being undertaken across the region.   The theme of the event, ‘the Future of Planning’, led to discussions on the implications arising from the #NPPF, including practicalities of delivering new Local Plans, what is #GreyBelt and an explanation of what the changes mean for delivering residential development in the North East. Looking ahead, proposals for English Devolution were explained highlighting the future opportunities for the North East Combined Authority as a Mayoral Strategic Authority and the seven Local Authorities of the region.     Our speakers concluded that while there are challenges ahead, there are significant opportunities for delivering development in the North East. #NPPF #townplanning #localplan #housebuilding

Later this week the Pegasus Group #Heritage team will be at the #LPOC Listed Property Show at #Olympia in London (Friday 31 January to Saturday 1 February). Rachel brings experience in major urban regeneration projects, which she will utilise in our work in Liverpool on the King Edward Triangle tall building cluster masterplan, and the Liverpool Waters project. Last night Pegasus Group welcomed guests to the wonderful Assembly Rooms Edinburgh in #Edinburgh to celebrate “Our New Chapter in Scotland”, following the opening of the Group’s new Scottish headquarters in Haymarket. Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for creating a truly memorable evening. Guests heard from our Guest of Honour the Depute Lord Provost Councillor Lezley Marion Cameron, who welcomed Pegasus’s commitment to Edinburgh and Scotland, alongside words from our Chair Jeremy Peachey and CEO Douglas McCormick. Pegasus’s Scottish team, led by Jamie Scott, is targeting growth across the region, working with clients across renewable energy, residential, commercial and retail developments.
