Today our Social Value Manager Freya Church was invited to represent R&M Williams at the yearly Remembrance Service in the heart of the Valley's. The Valley's Veteran Hub supports Veterans in and around this community and offers such fantastic facilities and support for those of all ages that once served our country. We were honoured to have been invited and to continue our partnership with these wonderful people. If you haven't visited this beautiful region then we recommend it. Also, our Ferndale fire station refurbishment project is not too far away! #constructionsupport #Valleys #community #remembrance Martyn Morris Martyn Osborne MRICS

It was an honour for our site team to have been invited to the official grand opening of the Palace - to witness what was once a vision become a fantastic and welcoming space in this community Da iawn pawb 👌
The iconic Palace Theatre building in Swansea has reopened its doors today (Thursday November 7) as the newest Tramshed Tech location, marking a significant milestone in the city's £1bn regeneration. The historic landmark - which dates back to 1888 - has undergone an extensive three-year restoration, led and funded by Swansea Council with an investment worth more than £6.9m from the Welsh Government's Transforming Towns initiative. The carefully restored six-floor building now offers state-of-the-art workspaces designed to support tech, digital and creative businesses. Cherished architectural features have been maintained, including the decorative iron balcony, original Ebbw Vale brick, and restored floor tiles. The historic theatre stage has been preserved and reimagined as a unique event space and collaborative work area. The project has been delivered by council officers, R&M Williams , GWP Architecture, Hydrock, now Stantec (now Stantec) and TC Consult Ltd. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eGSgftPM

🎥 Join us as we go behind the scenes to check out how Swansea’s restored Palace Theatre building now looks. Swansea Council has handed over the High Street building to Wales-based Tramshed Tech, who will operate the facility when it reopens next Thursday (November 7). The sensitively restored Grade 2 Listed Palace Theatre building will feature six floors of versatile workspace including co-working, meeting rooms and office space designed to support tech, digital and creative businesses. The historic theatre stage is being preserved as an event space and collaborative co-working area, while the ground-floor will become 'Da' - Tramshed Tech's independent coffee shop. This coffee shop will be open to the public. Work to restore the 136-year-old building has been led by Swansea Council and supported by Welsh Government Transforming Towns funding. The project has been delivered by R&M Williams , GWP Architecture, Hydrock, now Stantec and TC Consult Ltd.

Just a little "sneak peek" at the beautiful features - inside and out - that we have restored/replaced and just look at what has been achieved at the Palace Theatre!! Along with our supply chain partners we have managed to get to the point where we only have a few days left on this prestigious project and we truly can't believe it... It's been a long time coming but we are incredibly proud of all of the hard work from our own teams and especially those who are currently working very hard in finishing it all off for our client City & County of Swansea Please take a look at Tramshed Tech LinkedIn page to find out all about the open days, future plans and guided tours and how you can rent meeting space in this iconic building. Onwards and upwards - but this will always remain in our hearts and a real eye opener! The Palace Theatre in Swansea, a Grade-II listed building, has been revitalized through extensive restoration efforts. Once at risk due to its deteriorated condition, this 135-year-old venue is now safeguarded for the future. In 2020, City & County of Swansea acquired the building with plans to repurpose it as office space. This adaptive approach not only preserves the historic structure but also addresses modern needs. Our team, led by Balustrades Director Darryl Sweet and Operations Manager James Sweet, used traditional methods to meticulously template each floor’s curves, ensuring precise measurements. This allowed us to seamlessly blend with the in-situ metalwork, designing and installing balustrades that honor the building’s beauty and meet current safety standards. It was a pleasure collaborating with R&M Williams on this project, contributing to the preservation and enhancement of the Palace Theatre for future generations. #balustrade #balustradedesign #historicbuildings #historicbuildingpreserved #palacetheatreswansea
