Across our Pilbara operations in Western Australia there are 25 fly in fly out (or FIFO) villages with 11,000 employees. ✈️🦺 They’ve come from around Australia, on 170 flights, from 15 airports each week. That's 900,000 flight passengers each year. 🍞🥚 11,000 employees need a lot of breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. 1 million meals per month to be specific.

We’re working to replace gas and coal-fired power with solar, wind and other renewable energies across our operations.     We’re focusing on the transition to renewable energy sources in 5 main locations:   📍 Pilbara, Western Australia.  📍 Richards Bay Minerals, South Africa.  📍 Weipa, Australia.  📍 Kennecott, US.  📍 Oyu Tolgoi, Mongolia.     Decarbonising the electricity at each of these locations has varying degrees of complexity, including whether the power is externally or internally generated, land access requirements and availability of commercial solutions, but we’re committed to finding better ways to power our operations.     #FindingBetterWays #ClimateChange #Decarbonisation 

At our Rincón Lithium Project in Argentina, we’re developing a small starter battery-grade lithium carbonate plant with capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year. “Rincón 3,000 is just the first step,” explains Area Manager Luis. “We're building a strong foundation for a much bigger project here in Argentina.” This journey is all about collaboration. “We believe in a ‘One Team’ approach,” says Luis. “The community is a vital part of our success, and we're committed to open communication and building lasting relationships. We’re on an on-going journey to building a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace for everyone, everywhere, everyday.
