Our Power Systems business has signed a further four-year partnership and framework agreement with the Azimut Benetti Group for our mtu yacht propulsion systems. The agreement includes mtu diesel engines for Azimut and Benetti yachts together with the introduction of integrated mtu propulsion systems for yachts up to 30 metres and soon, the provision of complete, ready-to-install and particularly efficient propulsion systems for the company’s new “Grande” Series. We’re remanufacturing around 170 of our mtu PowerPacks for German regional rail operator NETINERA, powering another 18,000 operating hours of travel sustainably and cost-effectively. The new contract comes after many years of NETINERA relying on our remanufacturing (reman) services to power public transport in the region. We’re enabling the maritime energy transitions with our mtu large engines now approved for use with sustainable fuels like HVO. Our mtu Series 1163 and 8000 large engines deliver between 4,800 and 10,000 KW with SCR systems for compliance with emission stage IMO III, enabling operators to sail in Emission Control Areas.
