Gisteren maakten onze collega’s Anton Hekstra, Michiel Hillemans, Jan Kegelaer en Rudy Zomers hun debuut op het evenement Industriële Veiligheid in België. Niet voor niets, want dit jaar was het thema 'Veiligheid in eigen handen' met een sterke nadruk op innovatie. Een onderwerp dat ons allemaal aangaat, zeker in een tijd waarin onze industrieën steeds complexer worden. Strekking van de dag? De menselijke factor is de sleutel tot een veilige werkomgeving. Technologieën en systemen zijn essentieel, maar het zijn toch de mensen die uiteindelijk het verschil maken om te innoveren. Wat als we samen niet alleen dijken, maar ook de toekomst van waterbeheer kunnen bouwen. Dat thema stond eergisteren centraal tijdens het symposium ‘Samen dijken bouwen’ in het Van der Valk Hotel Oostzaan - Amsterdam.   De organisatoren Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier (HHNK) en partners Arcadis, Iv en RPS reflecteerden op zes jaar van openheid en samenwerking binnen hun raamcontract voor ingenieursdiensten. Dit trok tientallen programma-, project- en contractmanagers samen om ervaringen, lessen en successen uit te wisselen van slimme, pragmatische en kostenefficiënte samenwerking. Een must om met elkaar te delen hoe met de arbeidsuitdagingen, klimaatverandering en een steeds complexer wordende omgeving om te gaan   In de eerste sessie gaven Roald van Gameren en Gert-Jan Ursem (HHNK) een uniek inkijkje in het meerjarig raamcontact met haar partners. Wat waren de beweegreden? Hoe verliepen de projecten? Wat zijn de leerpunten? Dit werd opgevolgd door inzichten van Marco Veendorp (Arcadis), Tom Sikkema (Iv-Infra) en Reinoud van Oosten (RPS), die hun perspectieven deelden op de samenwerking, ontwikkeling en het succes van deze contracten.   In de vervolgsessie gaf Marco Veendorp een pitch over de uitdagingen bij marktpartijen, Vervolgens deelden experts als Peter van den Horn (HHNK), Nico van der Schuit (Arcadis), Arno Willems (Iv-Infra) en David Gideonse (RPS) hun inzichten over het behoud van kennis, het aanpakken van arbeidsmarktuitdagingen en het gebruik van nieuwe technologieën. We sloten de middag af met een boeiend 'Lagerhuisdebat', geleid door de energieke Maarten Bouwhuis. Al snel ontstonden er levendige discussies over prikkelende stellingen zoals: 'De grijze golf van collega's vormt een bedreiging voor de veiligheid in Nederland', 'Overheden moeten het werk verdelen, ongeacht hun competenties', en 'Het oordeel van dijkbeheerders over waterveiligheid is belangrijker dan de berekeningen tot op de komma'.   Meer weten?
