About us
Salix Homes is a multi-award winning social housing provider based in Salford, Greater Manchester. We began our journey in 2007 when we launched as an arms length management organisation (ALMO) operating on behalf of Salford City Council. In 2014 our tenants voted for us to take over ownership of their homes from the council. In March 2015 we officially moved away from the council and became a stand-alone Registered Provider (RP) responsible for providing the people of Salford with the high-quality homes they deserve. Find out more about what we do on our website - www.salixhomes.co.uk as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Congratulations to the Resonance team on winning the Social Impact Award at Insider Media's North West Residential Property Awards! 👏
We are thrilled to share that Resonance’s National Homelessness Property Fund 2 (NHPF2) won the Social Impact Award at last night’s Insider Media North West Residential Property Awards! This recognition highlights the incredible impact of our partnership with Salix Homes, Stockport Homes Group, and Bolton at Home in Greater Manchester. Together, we are providing homes and essential support to individuals experiencing homelessness across the region. Through this fund, tenants not only gain a safe place to live but also access specialised services to help them build confidence, develop independent living skills, secure employment opportunities, and improve their overall wellbeing. Representing Resonance at the prestigious event were Chris Cullen, CFA (Head of Homelessness Property Funds) and Sam Berry (Property Investment Analyst), alongside Briony Branson, GM Ethical Lettings Agency Project Manager from Salix Homes. We were also delighted to see our NHPF2 Liverpool housing partner, Redwing, win the Property Consultancy of the Year award, accepted by the brilliant Jessica Turner and Eleanor Thomas—huge congratulations to the team! A big well done to all the other incredible organisations shortlisted—it’s inspiring to see so many making a positive difference. #SocialImpact #Homelessness #Collaboration

The Family Food Fayre is a subsidised community food club, which aims to support local people with their weekly shop and reduce food waste. Thanks to a donation from Co-op Swinton, facilitated by (and delivered in a Salix Homes van) Senior Repairs Manager Alan Stockton as part of our Christmas charity collections, they were able to fill their shelves with hundreds of essential items for their members to choose from. It’s fantastic to see what can be achieved when organisations from across Salford work together and we’d like to thank the students and staff at Co-op Swinton- we’re looking forward to seeing where this new partnership takes us. https://lnkd.in/erAKRqSj
