A busy week for the PSR team…! Yesterday, Megan headed to the Manchester launch of Orangebox’s "Be My Guest" pod - an exciting new addition with smart design and a great sustainability story.   Meanwhile, Peter made a trip to Plymouth for the University Design Forum, where he spent the day with industry peers exploring the University of Plymouth’s latest refurbishments.   Peter’s highlight was revisiting the Fitzroy Building, which Showcase PSR are proud to have furnished last year. He said:   “It was a delight to see in full use by the students and staff, really bringing the building to life. It was a pleasure to meet everyone and hear the challenges and solutions experienced from both the architects and customer, in getting these three incredible projects financed and delivered over recent years.”   Huge thanks to University of Plymouth & University Design Forum for the warm welcome and insightful discussions. Yesterday, our Furniture Consultant Peter Crompton teamed up with Renovo Services LLP’s Susan Balsdon for an insightful session on how we can help clients extend the lifecycle of furniture. Speaking to an international facilities management company with 50+ representatives, they shared expert strategies for tackling projects - no matter the duration. From design and procurement to relocation, resell, reuse, and recycling, the discussion was packed with insights on streamlined, more sustainable project management. Yesterday, the PSR team visited Orangebox for the launch of their new "Be My Guest" pod. It was a great opportunity to take a closer look at the product’s design and quality. Our Furniture Consultant, James Crome, shared that “it’s well-made, with a great price point, thoughtful design, and an interesting sustainability story behind it!” We’re excited to see how this product will help create more flexible and sustainable work environments. The team had an incredible time at the Workspace Design Show London this week! We finalised some exciting plans for our LUPC (London Universities Purchasing Consortium) Exhibition stand with Vepa the furniture factory (stay tuned to see how we’ll be incorporating their Hemp collection into our display next month!). It was great to dive into discussions with suppliers around the growing focus on product circularity and lifecycle, something that was reflected in so many of the innovative designs on show...
