Over the past few years we've built-up a great reputation for delivering quality construction projects in the further education sector. - Our latest £1.9m development - for Northumberland College - has just completed and the facilities are truly knock-out. - We helped our client Education Partnership North East secure £1.9m of government funding which has seen an old sheep shed transformed into a state-of-the-art sheep management centre... - A former dairy demolished and turned into a new farm office and T Level classroom - A tractor workshop made into an engineering teaching facility. - And a dog grooming training facility created. - The new buildings are for teaching T Level qualifications in Agriculture, Land Management & Production and Animal Care & Management. - We were project manager, cost consultant and principal designer for the developments at the College’s Kirkley Hall campus in Ponteland. - They include a high-tech 360-degree immersive hub where learners are literally immersed in learning content and lots of specialist training equipment, like bespoke dog baths and digital tagging for sheep – all designed to recreate a real-world industry environment. - Equans was principal contractor, JCP Consulting Engineers carried out the M&E work and Shed were the structural engineers. #FE #FurtherEducation #buildingconsultancy Paul Wharton Northumberland College

As we turn 15, we feel really proud reflecting on our growth and progress. 💥 Demolition has begun to make way for the multi-million-pound development of the UK’s first Passivhaus hotel. 💥 A hillside hotel at Runswick Bay, near Whitby in North Yorkshire, is being removed to make way for the sustainable development of a new 20-bed coastal hotel - Cliffemount. 💥 We are project managing the construction of the 19,321 sq. ft. high-spec property which is aiming to be accredited as the UK’s first Passivhaus hotel. 💥 To achieve Passivhaus status, the existing building and its standings need to be completely stripped away. 💥 Stainforth Construction, based in Shipley, is undertaking the demolition work which should take eight weeks. 💥 The new building will deliver very high thermal and airtightness performance, meaning it will require a much lower amount of energy to heat and maintain temperature, than a standard construction. 💥 Ben Rennocks said: “This is a complex and incredibly exciting project to work on.
