Our Houston team has partnered with Spindletop Community Impact Partners for the second year in a row to fill backpacks with essential school supplies for students at YES Prep Public Schools. The new backpacks were packed with notebooks, pens, crayons, erasers, and some of our first day of school wishes and messages to inspire a positive start to the school year. "We want to ensure our students have everything they need to start the school year on the right foot. Every child deserves to be ready to learn and succeed in the classroom," said Katie K. Daggett, the Director of Development at YES Prep. YES Prep is an open-enrollment public charter school serving students from grades Pre-K to 12 in Houston's underserved communities.

In 1937, our legacy company Brown & Root achieved its first ‘submarine pipelay’ with a short pipeline for Humble Oil. Using innovative technologies later deployed to install prefabricated Pipeline Bundles, the pipeline was welded onshore, floated to the site on empty barrels, and deployed at the bottom of the bay. Innovation has continued with completion of over 1000 pipelay projects globally, helping develop and establish the subsea engineering and construction industry that we know today. Now featuring one of the world’s most modern, capable, and diverse pipelay vessel fleets, Subsea7 supports the #EnergyTransition in pioneering projects such as the Northern Lights, a CO2 transport and storage system in Norway’s Longship Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) development. Responsible for design engineering, construction and installation of a 100km CO2 transfer pipeline. In doing so, we are helping to create the world’s first open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure network. Enabling European industrial emitters to store their CO2 safely and permanently offshore and developing a CCS value chain to help Europe achieve its carbon reduction goals.
