Part of the iconic Gainsborough Studios development, the Penthouses were a later addition to the development in the heart of London on the Regents Canal. We overlaid an existing PVC single ply membrane roof system using Carlisle Construction Materials ARBO (UK) cold applied liquid waterproofing system. The ideal candidate will have expertise in hot melt, torch-on bituminous felt, single-ply systems, cold-applied liquid waterproofing, and leak detection. Typical duties will include, but are not limited to: • Reporting to the Contracts Manager and/or Office Manager on a daily basis • Assisting the Contracts Manager with necessary tasks to ensure the smooth running of sites. • Delivering materials where applicable, monitoring stock levels, performing quality checks, and completing site reports. • Carrying out minor repairs, taking core samples, and meeting with residents and clients from main contractors as part of our customer services and maintenance operations. This is a full-time PAYE position and includes benefits such as holiday pay, a company vehicle, mobile phone, pension and bonuses. All necessary training will be provided. We’re super impressed with the progress made already by our site operatives and management team on the first of many roofs for our latest project in the heart of East London’s vibrant Hackney area. We’re installing over 4,200m² of Bauder Flat Roofs fully comprehensive built-up bituminous felt system (The Big Bauder TRS) with tapered insulation to ensure effective roof drainage. The roof will feature a green roof system with integrated, fully automated irrigation and WiFi controls. Our scope also includes access packages with mansafe and handrail systems, Bauder liquid waterproofing for all inset balconies, and Bauder PV. The ‘Wimbourne & Buckland’ scheme is a fast-paced modular build that will transform unused garage space into a vibrant community hub, offering 113 new homes, children's play areas, and a ball court. This exciting project is a fantastic addition to our portfolio and is set to run through until December 2025. It’s been a while since we shared updates on our latest projects, it's a busy 'summer' at T & T Roofing Limited. We have hit the ground running at our Loxford Lane site in Ilford. Since starting in the second week of July, impressive progress has been made, well done to the T & T operatives and management onsite. We began with Block A, quickly followed by Block B, working simultaneously with 2 no. Horrods hot melt pots W J Horrod Ltd firing on all cylinders. Our priority is to complete the waterproofing to keep these blocks dry, allowing the internal work to proceed. This project involves a 2400m2 Radmat Building Products Ltd inverted hot melt system to the main roofs, including all green roof coverings. We’re working on four blocks, applying cold liquid waterproofing and decking to the balconies across all five levels. Additionally waterproofing to a block of 17 terraced houses, powder-coated cappings, low-level power stations, bike storage, refuse stores and slabbed area with concrete pavers on non combustible adjustable pedestals. Loxford Lane is a brilliant scheme delivering nearly 160 new homes, complete with green and play areas. We’re proud to be working alongside a fantastic site team again and the main contractor. Notably, 97% of materials from the demolition stage were recycled and resold back into the construction industry. We haven’t had much time to update our socials recently which will soon change, stay tuned for some exciting news that we can’t wait to share.
