I am delighted to have graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with first class honours in BSc Biochemistry with Professional Studies. I was also fortunate to receive the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) Top Project Award for my BSc research project (‘The development of antimicrobial peptides as alternative therapeutics for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis’), as well as the RSB Top Student Award, the Ulster Immunology Group Top Student Award and the Tim Bramley Prize for Biochemistry. I am grateful for all the support over these past four years, particularly from the team at GSK during my incredible placement year and from my supervisor Linda Oyama and The AMR & One Health Lab at Queens during my project this year.

Today, I had a differentiation review in person focusing on "AMR in dairy: Implication for One Health". Basically, it was a formal conversation with my progress monitors who have given me some good suggestions to lead my research on the right track. It's been almost nine months at the QUB. Till date, I am learning and hopefully the PhD journey will come up with a great experience. Now, I can feel the change of mine, the curiosity in research. My sincere gratitude to my supervisors Linda Oyama, Karen Siu-Ting and Catherine Hambly who believe in me and always inspire me. A long way to go. Yes, the hardest days are coming. Finally, this picture shows my day!. Treat from my mentor❤️ Happy First Year!!

One aspect of work my job allows me to do that I absolutely love is coming alongside #PhDcandidates, #colleagues, etc., to achieve their dreams and goals. I am honoured to be part of your journeys and success stories. Another one to end the week on a high!
