The Black British Business Person of the Year, awarded at this year's BBBAwards ceremony on 11 October is recently appointed Chief AI Transformation Officer for Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS), **Pamela Maynard**. She joined MCAPS after her tenure at Avanade, the leading provider of digital, cloud and advisory services, industry solutions and design-led experiences across the Microsoft ecosystem. Under her leadership, Avanade put its purpose of making a genuine human impact at the forefront of the work they do with their clients. Since becoming CEO in 2019, the company achieved growth that consistently outpaces the market. She added over 22,000 professionals to Avanade’s employee base, acquired six businesses and opened two new geographic locations for Avanade. All this earned Avanade the Microsoft 2024 Partner of the Year accolade a record 19 times. Pamela galvanised the company around a clearly articulated purpose and vision. She has spearheaded cultural transformation within Avanade. Under her leadership the organisation was recognised as a top place to work by Glassdoor, Newsweek, Great Place to Work, Top Employer and more. She sets new standards for inclusivity and diversity, bringing on Avanade’s first-ever Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer. She was one of only eight women and the only Black woman CEO leading one of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work. Huge congratulations to Pamela, and a heartfelt thank you to our Key Partner JPMorganChase (Cecil Peters & Didier Lambert, CFA) for their ongoing support of the Awards and sponsorship of the #BlackBritishBusinessPersonoftheYear. #NEXT #BBBAwards11 #BlackLeadership #BlackTalent #WomeninSTEM #BBBAwards #JPMorgan
