Scottish cities have improved their status in the latest Global Financial Services Index. Edinburgh retains 29th spot with an improved score while Glasgow rises five places to 32nd. It places them ahead of the likes of Berlin, Stockholm and Abu Dhabi. More: https://lnkd.in/eqCbHNr2 Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes: “Scotland’s financial services sector is central to a thriving, growing economy and the rankings recorded by Edinburgh and Glasgow in this Index are testament to the skills, the businesses and the infrastructure across both cities. “The Scottish Government is clear that Scotland is open for business and we will continue working with the sector to build an increasingly investor-friendly environment to maximise the opportunities ahead.”

The Scottish Government reposted this
A Tour de First! 🇬🇧 🟡 In 2027 we welcome the world’s most famous cycle races to Grande-Bretagne for a Grand Départ like no other. Both the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift pelotons begin their journeys on the same foreign land for the first time ever! 🚴🏻♀️ 🚴♂️ The yellow jerseys will bring with them a transformational social impact programme to inspire cyclists, tackle health inequalities and promote sustainability. 35-time Tour de France stage winner, Sir Mark Cavendish, said: “I don’t think we can comprehend what a Grand Départ of the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift will be like from here. It’ll be bigger than we can even imagine. It’s only going to inspire; if anyone sees a bike race of that magnitude, they surely can’t help but want to go out and ride a bike.” Lizzie Deignan, who has raced two editions of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, added: “This is incredibly exciting news that the Grand Départs are coming to the UK. Even better that it will be the first time that both the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift Grand Départs will happen in the same country - and it will be here!” Scottish Cycling | Beicio Cymru | A.S.O. - Amaury Sport Organisation
