As we navigate an increasingly online world, our modes of working are shifting - but not necessarily for the better. This piece from It's Nice That dives into the increased acceptance of online “rudeness” and reflects on how WFH culture might be detrimentally affecting how we communicate in the digital workplace. 💻 📣 How are you addressing digital communication challenges in your teams? #communication #wfh #etiquette

Reflecting on the five years since the pandemic cemented home working as a part of our lives, I love this look at how the extra time spent in our slippers has also caused a slip in how we show up at work. From the classic working lunch now to working workouts, it’s interesting to see how our views of productivity, efficiency and etiquette have seen such a drastic shift in the context of WFH culture. https://lnkd.in/e_-iACA4

“If everyone’s too scared to say something, then the change won’t happen.” As gender minorities continue to face barriers across all industries, The Name Game highlights the importance of fostering accessible spaces and resources. It's exciting to see this initiative serve as a vital space for sharing information and building communities. As demand grows for equitable opportunities for female, non-binary, and trans musicians, grassroots spaces like The Name Game become more essential than ever in supporting necessary change in our field. As we enter the final leg of 2024, we're looking back at the last three months to appreciate all the work we've done over the last quarter. There were a lot of key moments over the last quarter, so here are a small taste of the highlights. From exploring the future intersections between fitness, well-being and entertainment and tech 🤖, to working towards more accessible pathways into elite sports 🏅, to continuing our exploration of young men's mental health 🧠, we've had a busy and exciting quarter of catalysing cultural change. We're looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year will bring! #culturalresearch #futureoftech #marketresearch

We're very proud of the work we've done alongside Channel 4, Clear Channel UK and BACKLIGHT Inc to understand the experiences of Black entrepreneurs and how we can empower them to make an impact in their industries. Inspired by research which revealed that 56% of Black owned businesses only receive funding once they had already grown a successful business, compared to just 35% of white business owners, this work sought to give emergent Black owned businesses a platform to boost their growth. Here are five businesses that this initiative helped platform to encourage a positive change! #blackhistorymonth #bhm #blackownedbusiness

Eren, a filmmaker here at The Good Side, has just released his independent mini-documentary 'The Pie Den', all about Den and his Bermondsey-based pie & mash business. In a lovely immersive experience, we had the chance to watch the doc whilst Den himself came into the office and brought us pie & mash for our weekly Monday team lunch! We love championing the creativity of our team and encouraging love for the craft wherever we can! Check out the film at the link in the comments! 🥧 #filmmaking #documentary #pie

It’s awards season again, and The Good Side is proud to be a finalist for the Virginia Valentine Award for Cultural Insights at the Market Research Society (MRS) awards 2024, for our work exploring the impact of the Manosphere on young men with Movember. This project is probably the most mixed methods we have ever undertaken. We combined expert consultation, social media analysis, anonymous Discord discussions, semiotics, peer-led youth research and a quantitative study to build a richly textured picture of the nature of Manosphere content, and how it affects young men’s lives. Our work on healthy masculinity with Movember is some of the most rewarding and impactful work we do as an agency, and it’s great to receive this recognition from our MRS peers. The Virginia Valentine Award is such a benchmark for our practice, and we are excited for the awards ceremony on December 2nd! #mrsawards #insight #culture

We are beyond delighted to share that our Laura has been selected as a finalist for Research Live’s Young Researcher of the Year for the Market Research Society (MRS) Awards. Laura is a researcher and film-maker - the work she does makes the case for the impact and importance of visual storytelling, challenging all of us to value the human experiences of those critical to our practice. She’s the embodiment of what The Good Side is all about - always learning, committed to impact and dedicated to the craft. Huge congratulations Laura E. Gafforio! #mrsawards #insights
