Well, what an amazing way to spend a Friday! After 4 years of hard work, our HydroShunter project was revealed to a group of industry professionals at the Severn Valley Railway on Friday 31st January, with Gus Dunster kindly opening the event for us. To see the results of the amazing work by our team, the Severn Valley Railway volunteers and countless sub-contractors and project partners was truly fantastic! The hard work doesn't stop here though, the commissioning and testing of the hydrogen system and wider vehicle trials will continue with further updates to follow in the next few weeks. Innovation is a challenge, especially in rail. To support the launch of HydroShunter and to engage with the wider industry, we invited Enspired Consulting Ltd to host a roundtable discussion about the different barriers and opportunities for hydrogen and wider innovation in rail. The call to action at the end of the event was to build wider collaborations across the industry to help the UK lead in rail innovation.
