Thank you to Material Source and Forbo Flooring Systems for inviting our founder and co-director Simon Millington to take part in the recent roundtable on the impact of data on the workplace. Data is key to the success of any workplace project and utilising it correctly, before, during and after completion, ensures that we (the design team) create rewarding, flexible, inspiring and sustainable working environments for our clients. Lots of great thoughts were shared and discussions had, I hope you enjoy reading all about it. Thanks for a really enjoyable evening Darius Baniabassian, Stephanie Porfyriou, Sam Roberts, Ian Chapman, Janet Fearnhead, Laura Connelly and David Smalley.
Why are only a handful of clients partaking in workplace post-occupancy studies? This was one of the questions tackled at our recent roundtable - How is data impacting workplace? - which brought together a group of senior, well-placed industry professionals to discuss the crucial topic of technology's influence on our working environments, five-years on from the pandemic. Probing into this, through themes including the tools for data capture – from sensors to surveys, the potential of digital twins, wellbeing, ethics, occupancy patterns, and the knock-on for leases, a collective of unique perspectives culminated in a fascinating debate. Read the piece to establish where we are now and where we could be headed ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eXy-qJw5 Huge thanks to all our guests: Ian Chapman, director, Corstorphine & Wright; Stephanie Porfyriou, project architect, AtkinsRéalis; Darius Baniabassian, director of design north, CBRE Design Collective, Simon Millington, founder & director, Incognito; Sam Roberts, BIM manager, tp bennett; Janet Fearnhead, account manager, Forbo Flooring Systems, who shared their insight in conversation with Material Source director, David Smalley. Thanks also to Forbo Flooring Systems - our supporters for the evening. 📸 Victoria Middleton #data #workplace #builtenvironment #occupancy #AI

Manchester did not disappoint! Great to be able to show the first group of our Manchester colleagues around the new Hill Dickinson LLP space at St Michael's Manchester. It's really exciting to see things coming together and to be able to help colleagues visualise the amazing space that we are planning to create for both our colleagues and our clients. It will definitely be worth the wait and the views are "epic"!! The Manchester weather was far from stereotypical and Emma Smith and I feared we may not be able to move the group from the terrace but with so much more to see (and a promise that we'd at least consider sunbeds for the terrace 😉 ), they eventually relented. Many thanks to Louise Kilbride, Abigail Vincent and Roisin Serridge for arranging the visit and the guided tour. Can't wait to get started on the fit out - Incognito, Avid Property Consultants (UK) Ltd, Kennedy Redford, Rider Levett Bucknall RLB, Alex Eagle.

One of the things we are most proud of is the longevity of our client relationships and having reimagined Brabners Lancashire, Leeds and Manchester offices over the past few years, we are excited to be able to share the news that we have now re-designed the firm's head office in Liverpool. On site with Flexible Business Interiors Ltd and project managed by Knight Frank, we look forward to showing you the end result when it completes next year. In the meantime, you can read all about it on Place North West... https://lnkd.in/e7MPUyrC

Congratulations to our client Henry Boot PLC for winning the Design Excellence Award at last night's Insider Media Sheffield Property Awards 2024. We are so proud of the workspace that we created for Henry Boot's team in its move from Grade II listed premises in the countryside, to the Isaacs Building in the heart of Sheffield city centre. This game-changing project aimed to encourage greater collaboration and cohesiveness across the organisation, strengthen talent attraction and retention, and help deliver the company's goal of being net zero carbon by 2030. With thanks to the wider team - ADT Workplace, Arcadis, Anderson Green Ltd and Cundall.
