When our CEO features in Nepali documentary. We are all waiting for the episode to air 👀🥳

CEO and co-founder of WUKA Wear | UN Women Delegate|on a mission to create a better health outcome for girls and women globally

Look Mom, I am on TV 📺!! After taking a month-long break from LinkedIn, I’m back with some exciting news! Last year, a renowned Nepali actor Rajesh Hamal visited our Wuka HQ to film a documentary titled *Yo Nepali Sir Uchali* (which translates to *this Nepali Helds head high*). The episode is finally going live tomorrow, and I’m both excited and nervous, as it’s my first-ever TV documentary appearance. I got quite emotional thinking back the journey as a migrant and all the hard work that has led me here. Got me also talking about missed opportunities in childhood. I am sure half the episode is with puffed eyes. 👀 Here’s a little sneak peek for you all! While most of you might not understand the language, I hope you still enjoy this glimpse into short ad for the film. Will share more later https://lnkd.in/epQn68qq #Documentary #NepaliPride #Excited #HeadHighNepal #ComingSoon

Founder | Board Member | Democratising Data | FMCG Expert l Challenger Brand Champion

It's fantastic to see challenger brands getting well-deserved recognition in the prestigious The Grocer Gold Awards. It shows that change is happening. Yes, in the retail market. But it also demonstrates that the trade is recognising what these brands are bringing in terms of innovation. 💥 The brands that are disrupting industries that hadn’t been touched for decades like Pip & Nut | B Corp & Who Gives A Crap. 💥 The brands that are driving growth in categories in which the big players are in decline, like Outland by Badger Brewery and OceanSaver. The challenger brands that we work with at North Star in this sector are growing 10x faster than the market – so we can see the change taking place in front of our eyes. Huge congrats and good luck to the founders and brands who have been nominated! 🏆 WUKA, MuscleFood, Camden Town Brewery, Jam Shed (Accolade Wines), MOTH Drinks - B Corp™ , DASH Water, Hip Pop, Mockingbird Raw Press, MOJU, PerfectTed, TRIP, Bio&Me I B Corp, Biotiful Gut Health, LOVE CORN, Lucky Saint | B Corp™, Rheal, THIS™, Pip & Nut | B Corp, Vadasz, Here We Flo, HANX, SURI, Grub Club Pets, OceanSaver, HECK!, Little Moons, CRIMPiT, Good Guys Bakehouse, Who Gives A Crap.

A huge thank you to WUKA for generously donating a range of their brilliant reusable menstrual products to Harbour for our residents 🙌 As it's Menstrual Hygiene Day, we used these donations as the conversation starter for today's Talk and Tea session at our EVA project to facilitate important conversations around menstrual health and education. Everyone deserves access to menstrual products 🧡 #EndPeriodPoverty

Changing The World, One Period at a Time | Minister of Menstruation | Author, Podcaster, Academic, Professional Speaker & Board Member 🩸

I respectfully disagree with this post. The shift from blue to red in Always adverts is a bold move towards authenticity. Using red liquid represents a step towards accurately depicting the lived reality of menstruation. While the blue blood may have been a “palatable” alternative for men, the use of red blood highlights the importance of normalizing conversations around periods. It's a powerful statement that challenges societal taboos and promotes inclusivity. And also we do not bleed blue. I recently wrote about the responsibility the creative agency has in creating REAL and empowering period adverts, read here: https://lnkd.in/djnW9zXV

Is it just me, or do the new Always adverts feel like they are trying way too hard? Firstly, I know we are talking about Girl Power, but could we have selected more flattering shot angles? Being in your face is not better, Always. Secondly, replacing the blue gel with red has had a direct impact on the brand's identity, and even if it might not seem significant now, I foresee it having a direct impact on how the market consumes the brand. One could even go as far as to say the blue gel became the brand's inherent asset, a signifier. My theory is that the blue gel was a palatable alternative, especially when it came to a private matter such as menstruation. Whereas the red demonstration gel is too much in your face and does not allow for the mind to move past the menstruation part and focus on the product’s effectiveness. I could be wrong, and no one else might feel this way, but if you asked me to choose between red and blue, I’d always go for blue.
