Yesterday Kate Parr, our Business Ecosystem Manager for the Thrive programme, joined some of our passionate Thrive Entrepreneurs, as they exhibited at the Workplace Health and Wellbeing Fair. The event was delivered by the Huddersfield Health Innovation Partnership, supported by Kirklees Council and The University of Huddersfield. Attendees received support for both themselves, and their workforce, focusing on the subject of health and wellbeing. They heard from expert speakers around creative health, employee welfare and tips to improve wellbeing, as well as having the opportunity to take part in optional health checks.   The #Kirklees and #Calderdale Business Festival is taking place Monday 7 – Friday 11 April. Hosted by the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, this week long festival aims to celebrate all things Kirklees and Calderdale!   As part of the festival programme, the Business Kirklees team will be hosting the following events:   📢 Tuesday 8 April - Flood Resilience Information Session (Online 2pm - 3pm) – If you’re business has less than 250 employees and is located in a high flood risk area, we are hosting this session to outline the support available to your business, helping you become more resilient to potential flood risk.   📢Tuesday 8 April – Meet the neighbour event, Bradley (10am – 12pm) - If you’re a business based in Bradley Business Park, this networking event provides an opportunity for you to meet your commercial neighbours, find out what they do and meet potential new customers and suppliers.   📢Thursday 10 April – Meet the team event, Holmfirth (1pm – 3pm) - If you’re a business based in Holmfirth or the surrounding area, this is an opportunity to call in, meet the team and get your business questions answered. A key project milestone of the HHIP was the opening of a new Innovation Space at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield, operated by Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust and officially opened in October 2024 by the Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire. Since its launch, this dedicated space has become a vibrant hub for innovation, welcoming over 300 visitors, including Trust staff that have participated in internal workshops designed to support idea generation and service improvement.
