We were excited to host a roundtable discussion on Early Maths at the Labour Party Conference last week. Avnee reported: "We had an amazing time connecting with friends old and new at the Labour Party Conference, hearing views on possible policy directions for UK education. I was honoured to open a roundtable, co-hosted with the Education Policy Institute, that brought together an influential group to think about what the future of early maths teaching looks like. We discussed a number of issues including the importance of number fluency in laying the foundations for future attainment, the role of low stakes and high stake assessment and how to support the transition from the Early Years into Key Stage 1. Thank you to everyone who attended and brought us forward in this interesting and important conversation." We're looking forward to continuing these conversations with key partners over the coming months. #Education #Maths #PrimaryMathsCurriculum #LabourPartyConference2024

We're delighted to be working with Jonathan Lansley-Gordon on the newest edition of our AQA GCSE Sciences support. You can find out more about the updates and changes we've made to help students make stronger connections with the GCSE content here: https://ow.ly/YnmT50TAWwC
*Adds 'Author' to LinkedIn header* ✍ Super proud to have authored the Teacher Guide for AQA GCSE Physics alongside the awesome team at Oxford University Press. My writing goal was to help early career physics teachers and non-specialists deliver high-quality lessons that were engaging, practical, and relevant, as well as giving experienced teachers fresh ideas to compliment their existing repertoire. In addition to my authoring role, I acted as Identity Editor across all three sciences, ensuring an appropriate and authentic balance of diverse and inclusive themes and connecting science content to things like careers, world history, and current social and ethical issues. No more dry lessons! A special shout out to Thanucha S. and Sophie Ladden for their support (and patience!) through 2023-24 and getting this huge project over the line.

You won't want to miss this! The Rap Lesson, Naomi Jones' latest book, is beautifully narrated by her dad, Bob, in this video. 😍 The Rap Lesson is illustrated by Adriana Predoi and is one of our new #Readerful Rise books for struggling readers at KS2. #RaiseAReader
I am so excited to share the newest video on my YouTube Channel with you all! It shows my very talented Dad reading the first chapter from my latest book The Rap Lesson. This story was inspired by my own childhood dislike of poetry - and subsequent love for it. It is part of the new #Readerful series by OUP Education and I love that the focus of this series is about making reading fun and accessible for all ages and abilities. As I’m dyslexic, I’m really keen that all my books are as easy as possible for dyslexic children to read and I love that this new Readerful Rise series does this so well. You can take a look at the video and first chapter of The Rap Lesson here: https://lnkd.in/e3aXJFk4 #RaiseAReader
