Apertura 75Q Refractor Powered By SharpStar!

Comes with 0.75x Reducer

Designed specifically for astrophotography, the Apertura 75Q is a fully corrected quintuplet refractor. Using SharpStar's exceptional optics, you can expect near-perfect color correction within your captured frames. Also, attach the included 0.75x reducer for a wider field of view and faster focal ratio. Couple this with the quality control and warranty provided by Apertura and you have a fantastic package for any beginner or experienced astrophotographer.

With 75 mm's worth of aperture, the Apertura 75Q is capable of resolving small details within galaxies and emission nebulae while also taking sweeping, wide-field shots of these targets. The Petzval design of this telescope implies no need for precise spacing to achieve a flat field. This is extremely beneficial for those using more advanced or obscure imaging components that are not brand-specific to one another. Please note: if using the included reducer, 55mm of back spacing distance is required. If you're using a dedicated OSC (one shot color) camera you can forget about the need for a filter drawer, as the Apertura 75Q has a spot to hold a 2" mounted filter conveniently built into it! A 1.25" Adapter is included so that you can add a 1.25" diagonal to this scope for visual use. This telescope does not support a 2" Diagonal due to the limited focus distance. This Petzval refractor has a short focal length of 405 mm and focal ratio of f/5.4. With the included 0.75x reducer, the focal length is brought down to 303 mm and focal ratio of f/4. Weighing in at 6.8 pounds, the Apertura 75Q pairs nicely with nearly all EQ mounts (other than the smallest of the star trackers) and could be considered an extremely portable imaging system (if you're conscientious about the additional weight of other imaging components). The Apertura 75Q also includes a pair of machined aluminum riser blocks for those users who require extra clearance. This is especially useful for imagers that use a focus mask to manually focus the telescope and lock the focuser in place using the focuser locking thumb screw. The riser blocks allow for extra clearance to manipulate the locking thumb screw. The widely-known quality optics from SharpStar make this an ideal refractor for dedicated astrophotographers.

Included 0.75x Reducer — Taking Your Refractor Experience to New Heights

Improving upon the already outstanding optics, the addition of the included 0.75x reducer turns this quintuplet refractor into a telescope of unrivaled quality! The 75 mm in aperture, 303 mm focal length, f/4 focal ratio, and five internal lens elements is unheard of at this amazing price point, making for a high performance refractor perfect for any astrophotographer. In comparison to the William Optics RedCat 61 with a similar focal length of 300mm, the Apertura 75Q paired with this 0.75x reducer offers 1.5x more light gathering power! Capture large regions of the sky within a single exposure, and produce stunning images brimming with clarity. Thanks to the ingenuity from the team at Apertura, quality has never been more accessible.

The Apertura 75Q Offers Everything You Need in a Telescope

When five elements of color-correcting glass, mindful and convenient design choices meet the legendary Apertura support and warranty you only get one thing: The Apertura 75Q, Powered by SharpStar!

Premium Hoya Glass
HOYA FCD-100 Glass is famously known for its incredibly low-light dispersion qualities and color-correcting abilities. Compared to a standard doublet refractor, or even a triplet, this 75 mm refractor will yield sharper, higher-contrast images and even better color-correction while not needing to add additional flatteners. At a focal ratio of f/5.4 at 405 mm, framing your favorite targets is a breeze. In addition, the Apertura 75Q pairs perfectly with APS-C sensors and is extremely well corrected for full-frame cameras. Please note: the included 0.75x reducer is optimized for APS-C sized sensors, and is not yet rated for use with full frame cameras.

Integrated Filter Cell
Innovative build design is of top priority with any Apertura refractor. Built into the 75Q itself is a 2" filter cell which allows you to easily add your favorite imaging filter into the optical train without disassembling your reducer or flattener. This filter cell is completely detachable and takes mere seconds to install. There is no need to even consider purchasing a third-party filter drawer with your dedicated OSC (one shot color) camera when you purchase the Apertura 75Q!

Adaptability
The Apertura 75Q comes electronic-autofocuser-ready out of the box! This flexibility allows you seamless integration of your favorite electronic focuser for a hands-free imaging session with the ASIAIR or other remote imaging systems.

Effortless Reducer Installation
Installing this 0.75x reducer on your Apertura 75Q is quick and simple. First, remove all adapters from the focuser just behind the telescope’s camera rotator. Next, remove the dust cover from the focal reducer. Third, thread the reducer into the focuser. Finally, attach your imaging equipment to the reducer, keeping in mind the camera side of the reducer features M48 sized threads.

Comes with the Apertura Absolute Warranty
The Apertura Absolute Warranty provides two years of coverage against product defects. After the initial two-year warranty expires, this product qualifies for Apertura's Three-Year Accident Replacement Program. In addition, the Apertura Absolute Warranty is transferrable! Download a copy of the Apertura Absolute Warranty for more information on this program, how to make a claim, and why it is important to keep your original receipt and the product's original boxes and packaging!
